While we're all throwing up suggestions for alternatives to Janssen, or not as the case may be, may I make a case for our youth system?
I'd be happy if Janssen got another shot, but at the same time, I wouldn't mind us looking toward our youth system and giving players like Harrison or Sterling a chance, assuming Janssen doesn't show any signs of improvement this season.
I appreciate that they're raw, unproven and may not be ready, but I think it's our best chance of finding a striker who is competent, knows how to play the way we want, is within our budget - free in this case - and would be happy to sit on the bench for the biggest and most important games.
In Harrison's case, he already had a brief appearance against Liverpool in the league cup last season, and I think he's been on the bench a few times already, so he's clearly not a million miles away from the first team squad.
Not to mention, it'd be great to have another young player break through; the more the merrier.
