I can only think coutinho to barca happens if he downs tools. Klopp has been pretty adamant that he's not for sale. It would really disrupt them if they lost him. I think/hope Alli is smart enough to know that he needs a bit longer learning under Poch before he makes this kind of move.

I can't see Alli leaving for anything other than a similar fee that PSG paid for Neymar. Levy knows they've got money and the market is massively over-inflated.

I just can't see that happening.

It'd be great if they bought from our rivals - Coutinho, Hazard, Aguero, - although they'd then be loaded and the ridiculous transfer merry-go-round would continue. Which could be the biggest negative in all this: biding our time again until the big fish have eaten.

Coutinho seems to actually want to go there whereas Dele doesn't, even if there is any truth in the story.
I'm not naive enough to think he'd never choose to leave but I do think he knows he is doesn't need to snatch at any big club offer.
When it happens Daniel Levy will give us the biggest bidding war you have ever seen.

The best thing for us would be if Barca went French and bought Mbappe and Dembele because those funds won't get recycled in the market or at least not in a way that impacts us.

Wouldnt impact if they bought from Chelsea or City either. Both those clubs could find the money to buy whoever they wanted anyway. For me the best case scenario is if they went for Hazard, because I'm not sure he's replaceable quality wise if they went type for type.

The Neymar transfer has taken the cost of both Dele and Kane into another stratosphere.

Dele would get murdered by the Barca crowd for the amount of times he mis-controls the ball and gives it away cheaply.

He produces moments of magic but he's got a long way to go, that's the scary thing.

Would be my favourite option too, it's no coincidence that Chelsea's worst season in a decade was the one in which Hazard downed tools.

Best case scenario would be Barca going for Hazard. Second best Aguero. Neither would replace with any realistic target of ours.

Liverpool would be destroyed if they lost Coutinho. He is their best player by a country mile. They managed 7-8 games without him but a whole season would be a huge. It would be fantastic to see the meltdown over on RAWK and the usual 'entitlement' factor (this isn't just any club, this is Liverpooowel foochball clwb)

Clearly they overlap our targets far more but the one player they wouldn't be interested in would be Barkley

They seem to be closing in on Ousmane Dembele and there seems to have been a positive shift on Coutinho to them of late. I don't think he is too near the top of their list luckily...

I think they would want Eriksen more and he is the one team he would leave us for. He has always dreamt of playing for Barca so could be a testing few weeks for us.

Why would any of the top teams in the Premier League agree to sell their key player to Barcelona? No one needs the money. Plus every team has made the same mistake before (us with Bale, Liverpool with Suarez), the replacements usually don't make up for the quality of the player who was sold.

Don't think he's currently got enough hype for Barca, luckily. As trix said, they need a young star to placate their fans.

How were those sales mistakes? We had no choice but to let Bale go, he wanted out. Same with Suarez. Despite any contracts in place, once a player wants to go like they did, you can't keep hold of them.
