I'll never rule it out. Even when players we are signing seem to be beneath the level of talent they'd go after. And, it's not even Chelsea, it's the thought of any club. The Willian thing set the precedence for me and since then the thought always rears it's head until I actually see it confirmed by the OS/Official Twitter feed.

It's possible the 50m is the top figure with all of the addons. Given that levy usually has a £3m 'finding lord lucan' and £2m 'winning the grand national' clause then hopefully it's still us and not a chav panic gazump

Doubt it's the Chavs gazumping us, their modus operandi is to shell out the big bucks on veterans aka VVD, they buy young players for a low fee then loan for 3 years then sell at a profit.
