I've just had a look, and this has been completely twisted. Only one journalist has mentioned it, and he said:

A bid of forty million euros from Tottenham Hotspur on Sánchez would have already been rejected. "Ajax is actually in an armchair, who just want to receive a maximum transfer fee," says The Telegraph journalist against Ziggo Sport . "They find forty million too few and it's likely that there are more clubs interested in Sánchez. I've also heard that Chelsea has an interest."

Driessen just takes it for granted that Ajax's club leadership takes a stiff attitude in the negotiations. The current contract of Sánchez continues until mid 2021. "I think he is leaving for more than forty million, but he leaves as a pole over water," he says. "Now we are talking about forty million, but in the end you are going to fifty to fifty five million."

All he says is that Chelsea have an interest. And if Ajax really do want £50m, they can fuck off.

Seems to have to come from a De Telegraaf reporter who seem reliable

Ah Roman's being petty again, let's hope Sanchez has the sense to turn down a blatant 3 years of being a Vitesse player and then being sold to Germany.

Nothing on the Shed End. They're is some debate about buying Barkley or Drinkwater. There's even 3 pages devoted to Danny Rose. But not a single post about this boy. It will be a big surprise to them more than it will to us.

They've signed Ruddiger, they have Cahill and Luiz he shouldn't have any assurances of playing regularly unless they bullshit him.
They aren't a stable club to play for as you don't know who's going to be managing them in 6 months time, potentially affecting development.
They have a bad track record with young players.
There's many reasons to not sign for them.
Obviously if he wants trophies and money he may feel that it's his best option but he's noway guaranteed to be a part of it.

Chelsea were linked with him at the end of May after the Europa League final so no surprise on this. Cancelo next for them if we show any true interest and then there's Barkley...
Thank f**k they're not looking for a third choice keeper eh?

I really have no clue if chavs offered 55m. Very much doubt it, but little insight to these deals. If! We have agreed package of 35m, we would insert s penalty exclusive clause to get deal done within a set time-frame. This means player and his agents have agreed all. If this is the case then they cannot breach that agreement. You get into legal territories which can ban buying and selling club to trade, plus a fine.

This is why I find it bs. But we will soon find out, as that is how Daniel has been dealing, especially since the William saga.

You did a much better job of researching this then I did - apologies and thank you!

Don't see why levy doesn't just shell out a few mill for a decent hitman and assassinate the wanker, would make our transfer dealings a lot smoother.

Just like good young players, the Ruskie has bought all potential hit-men.

Chelsea have quite a few central defenders. They had the luxury to loan out Zouma. Cahill is suspended but Luiz, Christensen, Rudiger and even Azpilicueta can all play CB for them. It's not an enormous need for them.
