Levy was also reportedly in Paris.
I was never quite certain why DL had to be in Paris to complete the Aurier signing, but if there was some kind of larger deal afoot, then colour me intruiged. Perhaps a "better" special relationship than our last one.

@viktorviktor spam? Pfff...

Pastore would be an absolute dream for me. One of my favourite players playing atm. The epitome of the 'beautiful ' game

To be fair, when combined with the ITK from earlier in the window its the guess that makes the most sense.

Breezer said we had a bid rejected for an 'experienced South American.' We've recently had ITK from a number of sources that deals we thought dead may be back on (PSG's buying spree would indicate that they might now be more open to selling). And we now have a cryptic that plausibly links to Pastore.

It's probably miles off the mark, but the puzzle pieces do fit.

I thought the South American was linked to the won't get a medal and that was solved as Gary Medel?

As others have mentioned Pastore would also fit in with the "experienced South American" ITK we had earlier in the window. If we did try and go for him at the time we had that ITK and were rebuffed then he would also align with Herc's ITK that we were revisiting past targets.

He plays as a No. 10 and CM, the same positions we were reportedly planning to play Barkley in, so would make for a perfect alternative. Someone on reddit today mentioned that reports from France suggested that PSG pushed Aurier to us over United specifically because they wanted to establish good ties with us, and if that is true I could see them sending another one of their cast-offs our way as well. Together with Rob's winner rating on a Pastore post I'd say there's a fair amount of smoke.

Also they seem to be trying to screw up and stop clubs they deem as CL competitors - Real, Barca etc, easy to see why they'd want to do the same with a potentially resurgent behemoth in Utd.

Also, and I hate to do this, but I have some family that get a little bit of PSG info, and please bear in mind that this is not an imminent situation, nor is it totally unexpected, but at some point in the future Poch is most definitely the man that PSG want to manage them. They most likely would be keen to foster good relations for a situation involving that years down the line.

I'd be shocked if PSG even considered selling Pastore. He has looked phenomenal in their opening matches linking up with Neymar.

And it was also mentioned that there was no thread started for this player....we had no thread for Pastore.

Not convinced its Pastore, though I would LOVE to be wrong. Jadon seems like a much more viable answer to me.

Wouldn't be difficult, considering our last one saw us walking round prison holding on to Real Madrid's outturned pocket.
