Why do people talk about losing Kane all the time? He loves Spurs, he wants to win things here, he wants to break Shearer's record, it's a non-starter, particularly while we're on the up. If in three years we've dropped back to regular Europa football, maybe he might think of moving on, but right now while the trajectory appears upward we have nothing to worry about.

'Real Madrid are not put off by the £177m asking price'

Err... Who the fuck asked them?

Aguero?

Several times this season he's passed to Jesus who's been a better goal scoring position.

Again, It's good that Kane is hungry to score but he needs to realise that sometimes there is a better option.
If he achieved it as you are suggesting, he would become in literal, absolute and objective terms the worlds best player past and present. As it is though, I can cope with him playing just like he does these days.

Well one good thing about Man U or Real Madrid's "reported interest" is that it'll drive betting odds on Kane staying at Spurs up next summer which means more winnings for us. (y)

Kane had so many options when the keeper blundered. That second goal is exactly what he should be doing.

If anyone is wearing rose tinted glasses it's the ones thinking he's not greedy. Just look at his teammates when he doesn't always choose the right option.

Don't get me wrong, Kane is a god but if I had to pick his weakness its his decision making.

Taking your side here, TM.

I'm not going to criticize him from the rooftops about it, just as you aren't, but there have been 2-3 (maybe more?) situations this year where Dele or another teammate has put himself in a position with the goal at their mercy and Kane had time to put it on a platter for them, but opted for a shot he should know is impossible.

I only say "he should know is impossible" because in these situations it hasn't been first-touch shooting; specifically, he has found himself in a position where he should pass and he tries to create space or dribble into a position to shoot.

Again, whatever...he's a legend already so I am thrilled with him. But we could have at least 2-3 more goals IMO on the season

Because it makes people from other clubs feel better, the thought that we won't keep the best player in the league, we don't have right to keep him because he is too good for us! Well Jamie Carragher etc we've got news for you, Kane is happy where he is so **** off.

I understand other clubs saying it, but I don't get why our fans talk about it all the time as if he'll be off any day now.

*opens thread* Oh so the media's sold him again for the umpteen hundredth time, im guessing?
Yep the sell Kane bandwagon is in full effect.

Apparently Madrid are willing to meet the "asking price" (set I assume by some hack)

Aguero's 29 and he's become more of a team player this season because Pep's been working on that side of his game. I was looking at their stats over the last three seasons and Kane's got 16 assists compared to Aguero's 17 in that time. Not that you can tell everything from stats. I think as Kane matures he'll probably learn that sometimes he needs to play the easy pass instead of going for the difficult shot.

It's just lazy journalism. Someone was always going to start this rumour a couple of weeks before we play them.

And if the imaginary asking price is £177m before we've played them what's it going to be after he's scored against them?

Disappointed but not surprised to see Lukaku winning September's PFA Fans' Player of the Month, given how ruthless Kane was throughout.

Lukaku needs everybody to serve him in the penalty area, incapable of creating something on his own outside the box. Kane grabs the ball, tricks 2-3 defenders and fires of successful shots before he has even breached the opponent's box. Hence, IMO, Kane is the better player.

Disappointed in the stupid comment from Ginola this morning on TS regarding this RM interest in Kane.
He said 'we said the same about Bale' when asked would he go.
Err??? No we didn't. Why would Bale want to stay at Spurs? Was he born in London? Was he a Spurs fan since a child? Did he come through Spurs academy? Are Bales family Spurs fans and London born and breed?
There's absolutely no fkin comparison in the 2 players. Add to that weve a new stadium we need to fill and its a no brainer.
I know its all bollocks anyway but annoying a Spurs legend would say something so stupid.
