Llorente over pace.....remember that deal on transfer deadline day....

Who wins it - Martial (pace)

Still waiting for the bounce back from Wed shocking 2nd half too..... whilst didn't expect anything still very frustrated we got so close and now weekend ruined as title is done (8 points clear already when City win today) and Chelsea, Arse, Pool will all close the gap on us

Terrible weekend in store

Fucking hell, after facing two manure fans last night, today's gathering was with another self entitled manure prick..

How hard is it for us to feel pumped to win at OT ffs..

I dont think it is the Kane effect, I think it is the lack of creativity meaning that if you mark/hassle the likes of Eriksen, who will create and Dele, who will find space then there isnt enough creativity to beat a man and open up space behind the defence. This is especially against the teams who are happy to hold back.

Winks holds and passes nicely but we end up with all this tip tap into and out of the edge of the box when the opposition have 7 or so players in on the 20 yard line.

Frustrating but we have to find a way and poch needs to as well.

Just rewatched the last 90 seconds. Ball went out for Ashley Youngs sub at 91:30. Ball goes live again at 92:02 and then goes dead for the goal kick at 92:15. The ball then goes live again at 92.55 and then the ref blows on 93:01.

What is the fucking point of adding on time at all? Bloody joke and the worst thing is no-one cares so it keeps happening.

Man Utd and Jose M set up to win 1-0 and did. We were set up to get a draw, but lost.

In time, MP will learn from these type of games and we will win 1-0 when not playing well. Where do you learn? In mid-week cup games against local rivals when 2-0 up and not playing well you see it out.

Jose has mastered the art of winning 1-0, he has done it in league games, cup games and won trophies at every club he has managed - two last season.

MP needs to add this to his CV.

But it is the end of the title race to lose at Old Trafford, at home to Chelsea and only draw at home to Swansea and Burnley, all by the end of October. Our results have regressed badly from last season. That's unacceptable.
Well, that's not true. We lost at OT last season and last week we beat Liverpool, which we didn't the year before. However, to lose today almost certainly knocks us out of the title race, even this early in the season. Sadly we weren't good enough today.

Yes it's frustrating but football fans are so fickle

Last week we drew with the best team in the world at their place and smashed lpool 4-1 and now we lose 1-0 to a long ball team who spent million upon millions to do so and we're toothless bottle jobs who never perform in big games
Nobody expects us to win every game. What we expect is competent game management. You're at 0-0 with 15 minutes left away to a title rival who seldom concede and virtually never lose at home. They've put on an extremely pacy forward and you're under a lot of pressure - probably lucky not to have already conceded. That is not the time to maintain a high line and keep on a tiring centre-back, that's the time to go conservative, accept the point, and hope to get one on the counter. I don't want us to go full Mourinho, but there's a balance. Poch is very good in general, but his in-game management continues to be lacking.

We seemed to slow down every time we got in final third. I am not normally one to agree with Redknapp but think he was spot on that we lacked belief. Might be due to our awful record away to top 6 or could be because Kane was out. Either way, we ha e ourselves to blame for losing this.

The league isn't decided in October.

Looked like we hoped for 0-0 from kick off

Rarely looked dangerous. Son and Sissoko going off took most of our impetus away

Llorente looks less likely to score than Janssen. Dembele looks done

Can’t undetstand how Dier got out Scott free from the pundits as thought he made error after error second half

Ah well. We always lose there

Hate Ashley Young tho

Unfortunately the game comes down to small moments. Alli should score and we win but doesn't. Horrendous defending for their goal.

All in on balance united deserved it more than us though.

Barkley and a striker who doesn't have the mobility of a fridge in Jan please. (y)
Llorente is 32. We obviously signed him to have an impact now. If he doesn't pick it up soon we have to be ruthless and accept it's not working.

Obviously we're never going to get someone as good as Kane but doesn't mean we can't get someone better than Janssen and Llorente.

Bemoaning Llorente when we should be bemaoning why we don't play to his strengths when he's on the pitch. The guys a dominant force in the air, exploit it!!
