You say that, but he doesn’t press at all. Poch would have to give him a kick up the arse as his defensive efforts are poor.

He lost the ball to Son, and ran half the pitch and took it back off him.

He wasn't and never had played in a team that pressed, not unlike any of our players before Poch came along.

Gazza gets man of the match
Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace

Spurs keeper Paulo Gazzanigga: "I knew last night that Michel (Vorm) was not too well so I started preparing then. I was nervous for about three seconds and then the players gave me lots of support. I'll take it step-by-step in trying to become Number 1 for Spurs."
Could be a late bloomer. Fair fucking play to him.

Damn! Love a ground out win. Shows we have the stones even when we're not at our best. It's been an exhausting and successful few weeks for us. Think that Wembley pitch has been taking a toll on our collective hamstrings. Rose was a star today after being out for so long. No Alli, Kane clearly half-fit. Toby out, Wanyama out, had to sub Winks. Still got the 3 points!

I like his ambition and attitude. No matter who it is, every player at the club, from the first team down to the academy should want to be the first choice senior player in their position.

I really dont care about the performance all that matters after midweek European games is the 3 points. Most of out dropped points last season came after midweek European games. I would have been surprised if CP came over today and we gave them a tonking, they are fighting for their lives down there.

Lloris would have been proud of that performance today.

Utter garbage. Let's just get janssen back then because he does a much better job than llorente at holding the ball up and actually scores a couple of goals
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're fairly new to football. What's it been 2 or 3 months?

Just watched the games highlights, Zahar today the best player on the pitch by a country mile.

If we picked him and Barkley up we'd have a cracking squad for Poch to work with.

Gazza, Dier and Verts excellent.

Sissoko probably the pick of the midfield. From our vantage point high behind the goal his movement was pulling Palace all over the place second half led directly to the goal. If only the bloke had a first touch...

Good win all things considered.

After this, even Dier himself has to be convinced he's a better CB than CM.
He's playing so well back there that Toby's absence is not an issue. He's got pace, power, aggression, and he's useful with the ball. Got to get his head sorted in relation to this midfielder fantasy.

Few people got well and truely burnt with their comments about him before the game.

Still only 25 and so a long way to go in terms of his career as a keeper.

Now I can quote and laugh at you.

Why, because you are 5 years old or very stupid?

Read my next post where I said every time I watched him at Southampton he was poor but I hoped he'd improved in that time. obviously he has.

As predicted, a flat, dull, ground out affair against opposition setup to defend and break. We didn't help ourselves with some disappointing displays from otherwise key players like Eriksen. And despite his goal, Son was lacking elsewhere, and should have made it 2.

But the win is all important, and our back 3 were excellent, Rose returned in great form, and Gazzaniga was a revelation. Now for a nice break before NLD pt 1.
