What a shit viewing that was. Something has been "off" with Eriksen for a while now. He's so important to us that when he has a bad game we usually do too, his drop in form has coincided with ours. Harry was far too trigger happy. Aurier and Sissoko down the right hand side is great when you're playing against a side that you can counter, not so great against a Leicester side who boast one of the deepest back lines in the league. Dembele looked lost. Jan letting Mahrez get on his left foot for their second was criminal. Dier played like he was wearing bricks for boots.

All in all most of our usual key performers weren't at it. On the plus side Erik Lamelas return would've filled him with confidence.

Llorente linked up play wonderfully when he came in. Quick balls into him which he layed off with one touch opened up space for us to move their players around late on.

Yes he hasn't got that killer goal scoring touch but he is quality with linking up play.
That was said about Janssen and Soldado, too.

Actually thought dele played alright tonight, don't know why everyone's so on his back. By no means one of our worst players tonight

if Poch is true the philosophy he espouses in the book, then certain players shouldn't feel undroppable due t their reputations. Certain players need to have a couple of games out of the squad to think about their attitude, and form

Failure to buy another creative attacking player last summer is looking more and more negligent.

Eriksen and Dele are seriously out of form and/ or shot to pieces. Poch hasn’t been able to rotate much and this is the result.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

OK, I made a mistake just now in saying that the Llorente signing reminded me of Saha. Clearly at the moment, Llorente is worse than Saha so it was a bad comparison. I would like to apologise.

Looking at the bigger picture, we're scrapping for the top four (as expected), and we've just topped a Champions League group with Real Madrid and Dortmund in it (way above expectations).

Having said that, I think changes need to be made, given this bad run. Sissoko shouldn't be playing in an attacking role. And Son should be starting.
I wanna see Son and Lamela given a chance. The likes of Alli and Eriksen need a time out

The problem for Verts was that he was on a yellow card, but you're right as this isn't the first time he's been done by Mahrez.

Only undroppable players we have at the moment are Kane and Sanchez

We need to go back to a 4-2-3-1, we're so much more effective at pressing from the front with the extra man.
Poch can be quite single-minded. A victory over chelscum with a back 3 the first time and he stuck with it for most times ever since. But this season most teams seemed to have find a way past the back-3-and-bombing-wingbacks system.

I bet even 40 yo Saha would be more lethal than Llorente. He is way worse than Janssen, Soldado and Saha
