We are 3 players short of being a decent football team again. A central midfield player, an attacking midfielder and a forward. Whether they come from the youth system or the transfer market I couldn't care less but we need all three.

Only undroppable players we have at the moment are Kane and Sanchez
Yup, we all know that.

Does Poch though because by my reckoning Dele at least needs a couple weeks to have a think about things. I would give Eriksen longer because at least he has shown some great form this season, but not for 3 weeks or so.

Actually think this is our worst result of the season. At least the other results came against top 6 teams which can happen as they have genuine quality. Can't remember the last time we lost a league match against a team outside the top 6. Probably spammers last season. We're getting in the habit of losing, the West Ham league cup game still leaves a bad taste.

Not sure what the answer is tbh, Lamela won't be ready to start, Llorente is poor, Alli has been way off form and is useless unless scoring goals. Eriksen hasn't played well since being in a red shirt. Dier seems confused as hell right now. Sanchez and Verts seem slightly lost without Toby. Sissoko and Aurier, both are trying but are just too raw, technically extremely poor. Can't carry both of them.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I bet even 40 yo Saha would be more lethal than Llorente. He is way worse than Janssen, Soldado and Saha
I don't get why he is so poor. He has scored goals in the PL, he wasn't a total punt.

We're a lot better than a decent football team.

Poch can be quite single-minded. A victory over chelscum with a back 3 the first time and he stuck with it for most times ever since. But this season most teams seemed to have find a way past the back-3-and-bombing-wingbacks system.
I think it can be a decent alternative tactic but since we adopted it full-time we've been slowly regressing.

I think that's the first time that we have lost three away games on the trot under Poch? He needs to sort this out, be interesting to see what side he picks on Saturday.

Actually thought dele played alright tonight, don't know why everyone's so on his back. By no means one of our worst players tonight

Because overall he' been garbage this season. How the fuck he made the starting line up is beyond me.

He's shagging around like Billy big bollocks

What a shit viewing that was. Something has been "off" with Eriksen for a while now. He's so important to us that when he has a bad game we usually do too, his drop in form has coincided with ours. Harry was far too trigger happy. Aurier and Sissoko down the right hand side is great when you're playing against a side that you can counter, not so great against a Leicester side who boast one of the deepest back lines in the league. Dembele looked lost. Jan letting Mahrez get on his left foot for their second was criminal. Dier played like he was wearing bricks for boots.

All in all most of our usual key performers weren't at it. On the plus side Erik Lamelas return would've filled him with confidence.

Haha, so while desperately attempting to single players out, what you're really saying is that everyone had another bad day at the office?

I really wasn't looking forward to tonight or the weekend. Watford have been playing well, even though they lost tonight. Too many of our players have been off form, although strangely not in the CL. Rose did provide drive down the left, but the final ball was so poor. I just hope that with a run of games, some of the players can play themselves back into form. Once I've calmed down, I think that I would have to say that we had enough chances to put this game to bed. The best thing was seeing Erik back, looking confident. If anything, his assist was joyful in that I knew it would stick in the throats of some on here who I hate with a passion.

We rely on the same players to score Kane, Alli, Son and Eriksen. Alli and Eriksen are off form, Son hardly plays. We need more goals from midfield, but we don't have the players to do that and our back-up striker has expired..

Lamela released balls quicker and one-time. Eriksen has the ability to do it but low confidence and seemingly burnt-out is taking his toll. Everyone is affected by recent slump, chose safer passages of passes and became so slow. Lamela was thus such breath of new air.

Dele needed his confidence back real quick. Wanting him to stop his flicks and nutmegs is impossible. I just hope the refs can grow some balls and give him some fouls certain of him. He needs to be protected in the game, to put it old-fashioned way. England needs him to be his best if coming WC is to be successful. Currently the refs are just destroying him from pissed and pussy officiating.
He still falls over to easily though for me. He's probsbly best suited for RM and if they offer 100 mil I would take it in a second.

He's been shit recently but wasn't tonight. And the reaaon he makes the starting line up is because we don't have anyone else

He played better in the second half, and he wasn't the worst on the pitch. That was a toss up between Eriksen and Dier.
