Poch can be quite single-minded. A victory over chelscum with a back 3 the first time and he stuck with it for most times ever since. But this season most teams seemed to have find a way past the back-3-and-bombing-wingbacks system.

Well everyone else is playing it now...

Lacklustre and one paced again first half with a bit more effort in the second, just like the west Brom game.
Not sure why we are not starting quick, but we have lost something and our players form is worrying. Wanayama and Toby are missed. We are not dominating the middle at the moment.

One word mate, complacency. Eriksen is a very talented player, but its his mentality that's holding him back from being in the elite bracket imo.

This all day long with Eriksen, you only have to see how he consistently bottles out of any 50/50 type challenge to see that he has'nt got the right mentality to go with his sublime skill.

If he had the right mentality, he would be a top player at a club like Real Madrid or Barca.

This has been said about him often. He seems to need a rest to clear his head, which I think is somewhere in Russia.

Not taking any credit for this, as i copied it. But oh so true.

The last three strikers we have bought are:

Soldado
Janssen
Llorente

I think the club should seriously consider buying scouting competence before we buy another striker

Agree massively just not that the book has played a part.
Oh shit I forgot about the book - I was thinking how much of a negative impact that would have, in fact since the book was released our results in the league have been shit...I wonder!?

And yet he was incredible for Denmark. Surely you'd be flying after those performances. I thought he'd come back and kill it.

Everyone, including Kane, look off the pace. We haven't got out of first gear in the PL for awhile.

I think that may be right. another member on here compared him to De Bruyne and said that the difference between the two is that De Bruyne can dictate and boss a game in a more aggressive and leader-like manner – and step up and do so with continuity. They seem to both be shy and introverted but De Bruyne has that aggressive edge and winner mentality.

Llorente is a proven premier league striker though. You can't compare him to the other two who were much more risky signings.

Honestly don't give a shit about the ref that first half performancewas a disgrace, it's not the ref that's making us go into games half a sleep.

Yep. Blaming refs and bad luck is a losers mentality.

Didn’t hear anyone complaining when Dortmund had a perfectly good goal disallowed or we scored an offside goal against Madrid.

We better sort our shit out or we’ll be finishing 6th and no trophies yet again.

He still falls over to easily though for me. He's probsbly best suited for RM and if they offer 100 mil I would take it in a second.

And do what with 100 million? Buy more llorentes, sissokos and N'mehs?

Attackers who are better than what we have do not want to play for Tottenham.

We struggle against sides who get in our faces and give us no time on the ball - this is particularly telling when Winks isn't in the centre.

I thought we were poor pretty much across the park tonight - full backs got into decent positions then did very little with it, Dembele was in the centre all by himself, Sissoko is Sissoko, Harry had a shoot on sight policy and Dele couldn't control the ball. Eriksen is shagged and Llorente is struggling. Son deserved to start after recent performances but we presumably thought he wouldn't have space to run into.

Plenty for Poch to work on, I wonder if we need to stop swapping and changing players and formations and stick to something for a bit?

I still think this is a dip rather than anything too serious but we are definitely in a battle for Top 4 - which I think is a requirement for next season in the new stadium. I still have full faith in Poch to sort this out - I suspect he wasn't a happy chappy watching that tonight so hopefully will crack the whip and get them all back into shape.

Great to see Lamela back involved - a yellow and an assist, it's like he's never been away.
