How much of it can we keep together?

Good grief. Talk about looking for the negatives. Could all of your pessimism come to pass, yeah sure, it could. We could be hit by an asteroid as well. A handful of games and people lose their collective minds. I’ve said it before. Patience. We will get it right.
Oh, and Poch has already said he wants to stay at Spurs for a long time. I just hope he doesn’t get hounded out by fickle fans.

I think the players, especially Dele and Eriksen are playing league games under the weight of great expectations. They performed better in CL because they played with the freedom of not being expected to get out of the group, much less win it. In the PL, they are marked men and trying to play too quick in the final 3rd. Part of that is due to other teams giving them little space.

We need another threat or two to help take the pressure off and give them some breaks. We are also missing the solid base of our central defense and center mid that the last two years you simply could not play through. Wanyama and Toby's injuries along with Dembele being in and out have left us soft in the middle (Winks needs a destroyer beside him). Toby simply getting healthy will help, but we may struggle until then.

Sorry OP but do you seriously consider United as having won 3 trophies last year?!

The community shield is not a trophy I'm sorry, it features 2 teams in total and is essentially just an extension of pre season.
Well regardless that is 2 trophies which is 1 more than we’ve won in 25 years! And it may not mean much as it’s one game but I personally still think the charity shield counts as something.

On the positive side I believe on home form this season we are 5th and away form also 5th , I thought our home form would be 10th or something like that but it just shows we’ve dropped our level a bit but not drastically we just need to pick up form again starting Saturday.

Does anyone (with more intelligence than me) know how long we’ll take to compete, after we move into the stadium.

Community shield never has been and never been a trophy especially when only 2 teams in the whole of England can win it every year.

We survived the loss of the “Serbian Beckenbaur” Bunjevcevic, the “Italian Lizarazu” Tramezzani and the “Swiss Nedved” Ziegler, I’m sure we can handle losing Eriksen, Alli and Kane.

We might get it right, we might not. We’ll all still keep coming back either way. It’s onky football, in reality the results don’t matter fuck all most of the time. After leaving a game it’s a great feeling when you’ve won sure, but if the result hasn’t gone our way, dark humour and the enjoyment of moaning about it collectively is also enjoyable to a degree!

The beauty of football is theres always another game round the corner in which to start again!

I’m still pissed off at how we’ve played recently but I know that’s not ‘really us’ and I’m weirdly enjoying all the experts coming out saying spurs are on their way out, wheels coming off etc and predicting our demise. We’ll see.

We can handle losing all 3 no problem. The £500m they’d bring in would be enough for a replacement or two!

Have i wondered into an Everton forum or something? Good lord we've had a bit of a blip and a crummy couple of weeks, except you know, the bit where we smashed Dortmund and Real Madrid, thats football, some times teams have a bit of a blip, well except for they don't usually smash Dortmund and Real Madrid during it but aside from the smashing of Dortmund and Real Madrid we're just in a bit of crappy form.

Get a bloody hold of yourselves.

If Dele or Eriksen want to go and we get offered £100m+ for either I'd say yes. Love both but think Pochs methods need new blood more regularly and they both look jaded to me.

Plus it makes room for Lamela who will be a revelation next season.

He can afford a dip, the fans will still be with him, he's shown at every turn he leans and his next lesson is to show Dier, Alli and Eriksen that they are not undroppable. Let's see.

What’s hard for people I think is the current league table. Personally I’m not overly fussed but seeing us below Burnley, 4 points behind Arsenal, who really aren’t vintage and are losing their two best players soon, 8 behind United ( possibly the worst difference of the lot! ) and a ridiculous 16 behind City after only 14 games is, well, sobering to some!

Poch needs to get a grip of the situation and possibly knock a few heads together. I’m sure he will

If Alli/Eriksen want to leave let them. Bite anyone's hand off for anything north of £150m, and build the team around Lamela and Kane.

Buy Richarlison and Pulisic and let's have proper pace on the wings again to break down teams who sit 11 behind the ball.

Financially or on the pitch how long until we get used to it?
Financially 5-10 years but we should start to gradually increase spending and wages immediately as we’ve had an agreement with banks for the loans so as soon as e start getting higher revenues and sponsor money we’ll have lager profit to invest into wages and transfers.

On the pitch, Juventus won the league first year in their new stadium so that’s the plan with ours ;)

I personally think we’ll be at Wembley again next year as it’s going to be an almighty struggle to get it all finished by August or September if we get the extension but let’s see...

Don’t want to sell either of them and think Richarlison is over rated at the moment but if you swap him for a zaha or marhez then that attack would look tasty.

This is what I worry about more than anything and reading his book and looking at his press conferences his mood seems
To change a great deal. I just hope him squeezing every last drop out of the players doesn’t result in him just giving up eventually and moving to an ‘easier’ job where he’s more likely to win things say PSG etc.

he knows we are restricted at the moment due to the stadium.

the only thing that surprises me is I was looking for your doom and gloom post after the Arse game, 2 games later FOUND IT!

you say we haven't won a worthy trophy in over 25 yrs, then say you wished we could of tried harder in the Carabao cup this season, the trophy the last 2 times we have won it, sent us 3 steps back before we started to go forwards again.

not being funny but all the Alli to RM, Kane to RM, Eriksen to Barca is paper talk, if their scouts have watched us the few matches the only 1 they would go for is Kane.

we hit the same brick wall this time last season, the only difference is Chelsea wasn't running away with it then. the season before we started off slowly.

what we are missing is Toby (our form dropped when injured last season) and more so Wanyama. if he is going to be out long term, hopefully we will try and get someone in in January

Utter bollocks. Winning the curling cup didn’t set us back doesnt make sense in the slightest. Also it’s very different now in that it would be very beneficial for this group of players at this time in their development together to win a trophy, any trophy which will give them that winning feeling. It’s no coincidence Mouriniho prioritises it in his first season or 2 at a club in the PL as if managed the right way it is a platform and springboard for success.

Also if you read my post properly you’ll see it’s not all ‘doom and gloom’ but what I have done is made some very astute and accurate points and considerations/concerns based on our situation.
