Ok see what you mean, hopefully that’s the case.

Erm, what do you think you're doing? You can't just swan into this thread and admit that you might have misinterpreted a post! This is an internet forum, it's no place for considered thought and reassessing your opinions. Think of the children!!

I definitely think there’s something not quite right about Barkley. Whether it’s attitude application or intelligence there’s a reason so many managers have not fancied him. Obviously you can never judge a book by its cover but the general vibe out of Everton is that it’s intelligence and his ability to take on information and be disciplined. Which may get very interesting in regards to conte. Koeman was pretty strict chap like conte and we saw how that went. Honestly have a feeling conte + Barkley is an accident waiting to happen.Players with attitude costa Luiz have fallen out with conte. Imo Poch was the perfect manger for him to nurture him. Also have a feeling he may find London life not to his liking. Anyways interesting to see how it works out.

We definitely need to freshen things up with at least 1 new face. Someone who can offer something different. Yesterday’s game proves we need to go for a dynamic player who can stretch the game under bus parker’s. If we continue the current trend we could lose a fair amount of points to put us out of the top 4 race by March. Then what good would be to have these superstars waiting for summer who will probably back out of joining us. Rock and a hard place.

The fact we got Llorente from under Chelsea in the summer probably had some bearing on this transfer as well. That being said I'd rather have signed Barkley than "Teh Lion".

On the fence about the Barkley thing, might have been good for us might not.

On the latest itk, surely the idea is to pay him a signing on fee whether up front or spread or both.

But I'm struggling to accept that he would demand that his basic and bonuses would top HKs???

So not for me, and certainly not for me is the suggestion this is the first time Levy has opened his wallet only to be told to do one, but usually that happens at the end of a window when the "selling" Chairman is bludgeoned into making the wrong decision just to fack Levy over.

Coming back to Ross, Chelsea don't need him and he'll have splinters in his arse till they move him on for a profit.

He'll know better than anyone how serious his injury is, and there's a very high chance this could be his last chance at a big contract.
It makes perfect sense why him and his agent would be throwing out demands.

I'd love to see something different too but Poch brought last night on himself by playing a knackered Dier and a hiding Sissoko, and by not bringing Llorente on till the 80 minute mark. Tobys long passing means he's almost a deep lying playmaker, and he'll make a big difference when he's back.

Has there been any concrete info on whether the reported 200k a week for Kane has any truth in it?

I always do buddy, I'm guessing if the ITK stated it was all Levy being tight you'd have taken that as gospel though?
Most definitely, mate! And I'm sure if the ITK stated it had nothing to do with Levy's tightfistedness, you'd do exactly the same, my friend! Always have huge respect for your opinions though GB, even though I often disagree with them. Happy New Year to you mate!

Surely it's worth paying more for a player now to help improve a position/area we're weak in to improve our chances of getting top 4, surely?

That's the thing is he wouldn't really help us this season. He's only just starting to train again after major surgery and more than half a year out of action. He's unlikely to be back to full fitness until towards the end of the season and even then he'd have to learn "Poch's methods"/tactics etc. so his impact this season will be very much limited IMO.

Did anyone seriously expect any different this window, we haven't signed anyone of note in January for years and we wont this month either....!

Levy was never going to back his manager on a player he could sign for free in 6 months, he clearly gambled and it backfired, I don't believe the Poch didn't want him, sorry not ITK bashing but Poch wanted him IMO.

Re this super signing in the summer, sorry bored of this now.... wasn't the same gonna happen in August transfer window? I assume we will be announcing the new season tickets/stadium costs soon for GA.

I truly do believe Levy has taken us as far as he can financially and he has done wonders but days of signing big players and pushing on when we desperately need reinforcement (now) will not happen under his stewardship.

I know a lot will disagree but this is my opinion and would be delighted to be wrong

The THFC spin machine would give New Labour a run for their money. Are we sure Donna Cullen is not being secretly advised by Alastair Campbell?

We have a BRILLIANT relationship with Ajax. Hope we do more business, as expected.

I would go as far as saying, any other EPL came for one of their players that we wanted, they have no chance, including citeh (opinion). Sanchez great example.

For those chiming about ‘pinch of salt ITK’ . Carry on with that, and you will loose the few remaining. I can give hundreds of examples when we have agreed a deal (in the bag), for things to come up that we were not aware of (Balde/RB) plus others. For it to change in the last minute. Details come out just before things turn, and we share it honestly. Does that make it contradictory?

I know for example that RS and twin is 99.999%. Can things change out of the blue? Yes. Hope it does not though.

As for me, I don’t care what people think, but other ITK’s (some), you are pissing them off by comparing. We do cross-reference. And I honestly have to salute Rob & A&C for their excellent work. Trust me, they are no mugs. Hence why I contribute to this site financially, when I can, and will continue to do so.

Not sure why you bother coming in the thread if you're just going to disbelieve the ITK.
