I told him to tell Bennett it was never a pen and that Coventry are shit.
My dad is pissed off with the result for Stoke today to the point he is sitting there drinking with an ex Coventry player, not sure if I should laugh at him or feel sorry for him haha.

Ah the 87 final defeat to Cov. The first big game I experienced watching as a proper Spurs fan ( I was aware since 82 and remember the cup win and the famous UEFA Cup final, but wasn’t really emotionally invested until that 86/87 season).
A game we were expected to win comfortably in season where our team was lauded by most within the game........
.......only for everything to go tits up.
Couldn’t have picked a better first example for my true Spurs education
