Coldest Spurs game of all time

Inspired by a memory about a match away at Stoke. We often talk about the coldest games we've ever been to (I have no idea why).

- Fulham away Jan 2011 in the cup when Dawson got sent off and we were 4-0 down at halftime. I spilt boiling tea on my hands at HT and couldn't feel it.

- Leicester away Jan 2006 also a cup game. Spurs 2-0 up, we lose 3-2 to an injury time goal. Absolutely freezing.

- there was also a cup game (can't remember who to) whilst we were at Wembley during which it snowed the whole game. Was painful.

Anyone got others?

One of the coldest I remember was Portsmouth at home years ago (can’t remember when exactly). Sat lower park lane and the snow came in horizontally, everyone had to turn away from the match for a while as the snow came in so fast/hard. Freezing

Two stand out for me. Forest away in a cup replay ( not the Ian Woan one) the year we had Atouba.

The other match was Wolves away under Redknapp when we lost 1-0 on a Weds night. Jenas got dragged at half time for providing the second worst performance ever by a spurs player.

The first being at the Leicester cup game you mentioned by Rasiak. Still remember Robinson hitting a long ball straight to him and his first touch went 50 ft in the air. I don't remember it being that cold though.

Was that the replay against the mighty Rochdale?

I had a similar experience at Fulham away in 2010. Gale-force winds coming in from the opening in the corner right at me, I was in one of the first few rows that felt the full force of it. It was a cup game that ended 0-0.

I've never felt cold like that at a match since, not even in Norway.

Not a particularly cold match, but I remember going up to the Hawthorns possibly in the same season for a midweek away, and Rasiak putting in a similarly abysmal performance. Think we lost 2-0 or 2-1.

Some of my lot (who are a bit older than me) talk about a couple of away games up at Blackburn that had almost unsurvivable weather!

West Brom new years day a few years ago at the Hawthorns was bloody freezing

Remember coming back from a midweek game at Old Trafford, the windows in our mini bus had been smashed the police wanted us out of Manchester and the drive back was a mare that was cold

I have 2 that come to mind.

Burnley at home in the LC Semi Final in 2009. Bitterly cold even under the concorses. I'd been to a customer during the day so only had suit trousers on rather than jeans.

I was at the Rochdale game at Wembley in the FACup, snowed before, then got heavier as the 2nd half went on. With only 25k in the expanse of Wembley it was pretty chilly!

WBA away. Was -5 pitchside for an evening KO. We were 2-0 down having started with Gregorz Rasiak up front, who is the worst player I’ve ever seen play for us. Mido I believe pulled one back.
The path they make away fans leave stadium on was like an ice rink too

A mate got me a ticket to watch Palace v spurs in the cup a couple of years ago. We were appalling and lost. Was absolutely freezing. I left with 20 minutes to go.

I think that we had injuries and had played Chelsea away the previous match. Not one of our best weeks!

Lyon away circa 2013 or so. Ffs.. Right at the end snow and ice came down, and the French ****s decided to lock us in. Fuck it was miserable. Anyone else at this one?

It’s always bloody freezing going to London from Devon and swapping the jet stream with the North Sea! I don‘t know about coldest game but the most stressful game was at home to Man Utd a few years ago. Drove up in the snow and all the talk was that it was going to be postponed. We went back to WHL station to get a train back to the car and it was suddenly called on with a few minutes to go. I think we went behind to an early Rooney goal and then Clint equalised in injury time. I celebrated by clouting my leg on the seat in front and took a big chunk out of it. Still have the scar to remind me!
