Spurs vs Arsenal when Harry had the mask on. 2-2. Was fucking Baltic. Think it was February. Felt warmer at -17 in Lithuania.

Vs Man Utd 80"s- a live league game experiment on TV - Friday evening I seem to remember. Manchester was cold, wet and miserable . I and a friend just wore t-shirts. Went in protest against live TV football. There was only a few supporters there so lots of space, so no heat in numbers or shielding from the chill. Lost 4-1 Brazil up front. Long drive home.
I was at that game. I thought the score was 4-2. Don’t remember it being cold but do remember getting the milk train and arriving back at Euston at 6am on the Saturday morning.

Coldest - away to Blackburn, Shearer scored his 100th goal, we lost

wettest - when West Ham did us in the league cup when Sherwood was in charge, old WHL just didn’t cover where i was sitting that night

hottest - take your pick from early season games at Wembley, that place soaked up the sun. There was a 1-1 against Burnley where they scored in injury time that I remember being particularly unpleasant

I cannot remember the year but it was a January midweek game at Fulham. I was in the corner by the cottage. It was so cold I was in actual physical pain and to make matters worse they scored in the last minute and we lost 1-0.

Rochdale at Wembley was a really memorable experience. I don't get to many games these days but that one stood out, mostly because of the cold and the snow, but also because VAR was trialled and we scored eight goals, two of which were disallowed. One of those unique, special games that nobody remembers unless you were there. Getting home was a bitch though.

Not Spurs but wanted to share this story.
Jan or Feb 1996 (I think). I was working in Zoetermeer in Netherlands. Daily walk from hotel to office over a pedestrian bridge across a motorway. It was so cold and I wasn’t prepared for just how cold it was. Walking across the bridge there was an office block that had the temperature and clock on show. It was showing -14.
Earlier that week, a work colleague offered me tickets to see Ajax at the Olympic stadium versus some nobodies. Like an idiot I accepted. Spent the day travelling into Amsterdam on public transport and called my colleague about where to meet. He laughed at me and said it was postponed because of the frozen pitch and was hoping that I’d call to he’d let me know not to bother travelling. I was Sooooo relieved that it was postponed because I swear I had lost all feeling below my knees

managed to get tickets for a game in March. Versus Feynoord. The Ajax squad featured Kluiver, Davids, VanDSaar, D Blind, DeBoer x 2, Reizigger, Kanu, Litmanen, Overmars.
Van Gaal was coach
The Feynoord fans were awesome. Fighting in the crowd with the riot police. Ronald Korean lining up thunderbolt free kicks that every Ajax fan was shit scared off. Amazing experience to watch a team like that. 2-0 in a classic old stadium.

Lyon away circa 2013 or so. Ffs.. Right at the end snow and ice came down, and the French ****s decided to lock us in. Fuck it was miserable. Anyone else at this one?
I was there, left before the end as the police always kept us back, sometimes for 90mins. Didn’t know we’d scored until we got to the bar. Dembele I think.
Shakhtar Donetsk was the coldest game I’ve ever been to. Redknapp played the reserves and we lost 2-0. The locals said it was -15degrees that night.

Bayern Munich away in the UEFA cup in the 83-84. Season. Freezing fog and could just about see the other side of the pitch.

The previous season, we played Bayern in the Cup-Winners' Cup. The fog in Munich was so bad that visibility was down to about 5 yards, but the ref still allowed the game to go ahead.

I was at that game, when we sang 'we want you to stay' to Harry Redknapp? That's where my profile picture is from. People say I look like Jack Nicholson but I don't see it

4 p.m Many a Sunday my living room.

Arrive home pissed from the pub, (10 o' clock start) find a comfy spot on the settee where i reside opposite to petticoat control's settee. Whack the Spurs game on, dinner on a tray arrives, not a word spoken, just a glare, a you're a prick stare.

Cold.

Ah yes.....that was bitter - skating on ice rather than football. The family had just moved up to South Manchester from Cheshunt a couple of months earlier and me and my old dad were desperate to get to this game (our 1st Maine Rd visit). Rumours were rife that it had already been called off as we dumped the car and walked the mile or so to the ground. Farcical conditions, we got back to the car just as it was about to impounded for being illegally parked.

Lyon away in 2013. Their stadium is similar to Fulham and the wind was freezing. I couldn't feel my feet about 20 minutes into the game.

Two matches immediately spring to mind.

1. Fulham away under AVB… I was in the Putney End but right at the corner where there is a gap between that and the Riverside Stand…. That icy wind and rain off the Thames was brutal, as was the garbage football we served up (0-0)

2. Pompey at home night time game a few years back. Absolutely freezing… I couldn’t feel my hands or toes. I had this huge goose feather coat on and was freezing, looked tk my left at the away fans (who only had the bottom tier as there weren’t many of them) to see that c….t with the bell (John “Portsmouth Football Club” Westwood) and his mate with a drum wearing no tops!
