So why are we bothering?
It may be rare for a US city to make a profit from hosting an NFL team as they have to pay for a stadium / facilities and pay their players. But we are different. Mainly as we already have a stadium to our own football team and we will not have to pay their players. The NFL games we host will be a bonus yielding additional revenue from match days, merchandise and increased advertising, even if we only get a share of it.
I really don’t see the double header thing as viable purely on a logistical basis. Having 61k spurs fans leaving as 61k NFL fans are arriving how on earth would that work.
If its a double header, say football game from 15:00 - 17:00. And US Football game from 19:00 - 22:30, some fans will attend both games. I'd imagine Levy would be more than happy for them to spend some cash on refreshments in our Michelin star restaurant, fromagerie or micro breweries.
