Man I really want to see us making a statement in January, but I just can't see it. Glimmer of hope with the JJ/Herc posts though.
I know it's difficult and doesn't make sense financially, but I've always thought if you can nail a great signing this month it can really boost your season. I always remember Newcastle almost nicking top 4 off the back of signing Papiss Cisse.
If we could bring in a well known attacker this window it could be a big difference maker come the end of the season. Mahrez, Mertens, Insigne, Zaha type would be epic, and as others have said Pulisic makes a ton of sense on many levels.

Personally, if we could get this player/ s in now than the summer, it will benefit us greatly, given how close it is with the rest looking for at the least a CL place.
Given the way the rest above us a playing ATM, this injection could well help us finish 2nd again.

I definitely think we should strengthen now even if that means not spending a lot in the summer. We need top 4.

If we sign him or even if anything leaks about it in the next few days I will donate a hefty whack to sc.
The only reason we have offloaded Nkoudou is because Lamela has taken his place in the CL squad. I highly doubt that we will sign someone just with intention of playing them in the league.

What if the player is already Cup tied?
Same thing, he won't be able to play in CL. I'm not saying we won't buy him as I have no idea. I just can't see him coming in January.
