Good morning everyone!

Here's a shiny new thread for the discussion of today's ITK. Read that twice.

I'm not saying her indoors is a bit dim buuuuut.......On my way home yesterday I rang Mrs A&C and said "I'm near home now love put the kettle on"
After a few seconds silence I said "u still there?"
"yeah" she replied "I don't think the kettle wants to talk right now"

Then, later on she said to me: "You never show me any support". So i'm having a scarf made with 'Come On You Slag' printed on it. My version of COYS!

Just in case, I ought to mention none of things I say about Mrs A&C are true. Well, most of them anyway ummm.gif

I’m impressed that we’ve got some of our transfer business done early this year in missing out on a long-standing target to Chelsea, but I am intrigued to see what else we’ve got up our sleeves, particularly after the latest ITK.

Malcolm to Arse, perhaps, Lucs Moura to Utd, or something more soul-crushing?

Either way, I can’t wait to find out.

The latest ITK makes me think we are setting ourselves up for the summer and that this season is and always has been treated as a potential write off because of Wembley, etc.

After the past few January windows I never understand why folks expect signings now. If anything a signing in is against the run of history.

I would hope that’s not the attitude of the club. If we miss out on top 4 it’s a massive set-back to our progress as a club.

No CL + No major trophies + Second tier wages = Very bad times.

I'm not so sure the 2nd tier wages will be an issue so much after this summer. It does depend on what you regard as 2nd tier. If you put ManC, ManU and Chelscum as 1st tier, then Arse and Scousers as 2nd tier, I think I could cope with that, there was ITK which hinted that we would be increasing the players wages considerably, but we won't know to what degree it will be.

i think CL is massively overstated when it comes to players joining, made very little difference to Man U, players number one priority is wages, Citeh had no problem getting players when they werent in CL, CL is only for one season anyway

Whilst he JJ stuff is exciting, the part that brings me down is the “ down to other parties”. This part never seems to work out well for us. Still, it will be interesting to know who they are and certainly sets us up for a exciting window If it’s not known buy the press one would assume it’s not Malcom, Zaha, Bale, Moura or Gomes. Would be amayzed if it was someone from the PL.

Can't find the JJ stuff. Does anyone have any tips on how to find this quickly without spending half an hour reading through the thread? I've searched for posts by JJ but it only returned one from yesterday.

This does seem to happen a lot. Why doesn't it go in the RO?

Because it was reposted from his twitter, it's just before the post he made himself in the forum.

Go into the archive and check the last thread. Reposts from Twitter. Right near the end. No names mentioned so your mileage may vary in terms of interest/excitement in what was said.

I've taken it as a positive but still not expecting anything to come to fruition.

Are we assuming that JJ's info might refer to the same player that Herc is on about? Or am i ignoring the third rule of ITK club... Don't assume anything.

I wonder if the player/s JJ is referring to are in the Barkley mold? We are a bit short in CM at the moment and one of the ITK's said we wouldn't be disapointed with the player we had lined up instead?

I thought the general concensus/guess was that Hercules' info was more regarding sponsorship rather than a player as he said we had DONE good business. Whilst this may make sense holding back announcements on naming rights etc, it can't have been that we've agreed a signing and not announced it.
