Wanayama to impose himself on the second half. Dier, your numbers up.

Lamela should also come on for Alli imo. Hope Poch doesn't wait for 30 mins before changing it up though. If we can assert ourselves here we can get something from the game.

Dier does my head in with his passing. Sanchez is also looking very nervous and the way he kicks the ball looks ungainly at times. At least, we are only one down. I don't know what the team were thinking of at the end. Did they honestly think there was time to score?

Sanchez really needs to work on his heading, his timing is shocking, every header he makes, even a simple one is misdirected, it's quite comedy to watch it every game.

Kinda bored by the commentary love in, acting like Liverpool should be 3 up or something, when Dier gave them a free goal. Van Dyke literally strode forward a meter with the ball and played it side ways and they commentary were waxing lyrical about it. Vert's plays an inch perfect 50 yard diagonal pass to Tripps and not a word said. The bias is doing my head in.

That being said, Son needs to be out wide and Dier once again is playing like a slow robot in the middle, against United he had a point to prove, against Liverpool he is hiding out there, never wanting the ball and looking lethargic. Really frustrating. Poor tactical performance and real lack of in game intelligence.

I think Lamela would be ideal to bring on.

He has the composure to find the right ballb
More likely to be a headless chicken and get booked within 5 mins.

Centre of the park needs the surgery - revert to a three and bring in Alli or Eriksen and replace Dier with Wanyama.

Starts with Trippier getting played in to trouble by Hugo then gets worse from there

Trippier should just play the ball up field and stop trying to be so cute in our own half.

The lack of intelligence is fucking worrying.

Son's too erratic for these games as well. He doesn't get the time and space he needs to get the fucking thing under control
None of our players do but that is why we look so much better absorbing and countering in these games...only 1 person on the planet doesn't think so. Unfortunately he is the one that makes the decisions.

I can only assume he made the right tactical decision in the reverse fixture due to injusry circumstances. Perhaps we gave too much credit.

Who'd have thunk it, a game that most on here had us losing and we're only the one down against a team at their gaff that we've won at how many times in the last how many games?

Fuckin hell you couldn't make this shit up :ROFLMAO:

One down at the half, all to play for in the second then if we can produce something better from midfield and cut out some of the errors in front of and at the back.

COYS!

I can’t see how we’re going to take charge of this game. There’s a lack of composure and panic seems to be spreading throughout the team. I’d be tempted to drop Kane back into a false 9

Same old, same old. Poch has just turned up and asked us to play our normal game, and we’ve walked into their press, just like what they did to City. It’s actually embarassing that he’s not been able to see that this would happen.

It’s like Liverpool have a giant great white shark in the middle of the pitch with open blue water either side and we’re just walking into it’s mouth time and time again. All the space is out wide for the early ball over the top, but we just won’t play it.

I wish Poch picked midfielders than can release the ball quickly and accurately, especially in a game like this.

I love pochettino he is the best thing that’s happened to this club in years but how has he not learned how not to play vs Liverpool at anfield after last season? Truely shocking how we have continually tried to play out from the back in that 1st half

I am astounded that Poch has clearly learnt fk all since we got turned over at Anfield last season. Ponderous slow passing from the back. Repeatedly. Dier should not be anywhere near CM in a game like this as he offers nothing but shit passing. Not sure how many times Dembele needs to be fouled before this bent ref starts dishing yellows out, and in light of this we need to change our tactics as we cannot beat their press if Liverpool can just foul repeatedly.

I think it's a bit of both. One minute we're too slow and don't release it when we should, other times we panic and give up the ball too easy. Players aren't comfortable or too nervy.

Away from home against the better teams I think the system has to be more rigid so players know where others are.
