Shite performance but this is exactly the way how Fergie won tons of trophies with yanited. Balanced team, game control and grinding till the end. Games can only end with either 4-0, 1-0 or 0-0 which on long term is a success.

Or, with other words.. to be able to win when not having a best day makes the difference. Big teams mentality.

While Aurier missed a sitter and somehow managed three foul throws he did still probably stop Palace from scoring with that excellent tackle.

We are not going to steamroller every team, and whilst Palace defended resolutely, I wish we would switch things up a little more when required.

That game was crying out for some decent whipped in balls, something Aurier failed to deliver this match, Trippier is your man for this. Where was he, should have been on at half time - hour mark at latest IMO.

As for Aurier's throw ins. Schoolboy stuff, no excuse. Credit for the well timed diving tackle however.

Happy with the win, 3 points move on.

And I would rather he was getting involved in our attacking play, creating oppourtunities even if it's just by forcing the defenders to deal with him, and getting into the spaces to have chances like that which he'll very likely score next time than sitting 40 yards back and offering very little. People seem to pan performances more when somebody gets involved but makes mistakes than when they're anonymous despite the fact that the former is far more promising for their future.

Aurier will be fine. The miss was atrocious and his crossing abysmal today. But the talent is there. Poch will mold him into a world class RB given time.
