Pascal chimbonda has found a way of resigning for spurs. Fucking woeful footballer in every aspect of his game. We need another new right back come the summer.
Hopefully Walker-Peters will get his chance before that.

How much more athletic do we need him to be? He's decently strong and quick, and of course his delivery can improve. He's 25.i just don't see where all this apparent upside is for us to work with. you might eradicate a lot of the thicko moments out of his game over time but he's not going to become any more athletic and his technique in terms of delivery isn't going to improve a great deal at this point in his career.
Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. A full pre-season under Poch and we could see a much better Aurier next season. He has the attributes, just needs to be coached.

Absolutely genuine question. But what are the attributes you talk of in respect to being a top class right back?
Throwing the ball and not lunging in for tackles (especially in the box/having been already booked) are pretty basic shit.
He's done both these on multiple occasions now.
I honestly fail to see how this type of thing can be 'coached' out of a 25 year old man.
Give the lad time ffs. He’s got strength, pace, decent technique. Most of his problems blantantly come from lack of confidence. But isn’t that understandable being a new signing, in a new league/country/team. He’s only been with us 6 months ffs.
Poch has already proven he can improve players, so why not have some patience?? No one says we were buying a ready-made superstar. We can’t afford those players. So give the guy some time. Walker was still pulling out similar performances up until 2-3 years ago and he had only ever played in this country. And look how he finally found some consistency. So I don’t think it’s too much to ask to give Aurier time.
see i just don't see where this pace is that people keep referencing. maybe it's my imagination but i'm sure that van aanholt and the big norwegian lad absolutely breezed past him at some point today, i can't really recall many examples of where he's beaten a player down the outside either. sheer athleticism isn't the be all and end all but if you don't have top level technique or intelligence to compensate then i don't think you have the ingredients of a top quality full back.
Hope people don't complain when I quote these posts in future when he starts to play well.
This. Fans need to lay off him. Some of you guys never learn.Give the lad time ffs. He’s got strength, pace, decent technique. Most of his problems blantantly come from lack of confidence.
