I’d guess he knows he won’t get a contract as good as his Madrid one.I wonder why Bale wants to stay so bad. We've seen the clips of him on the bench not celebrating goals, not starting in big games. Just seems like a strange situation.
Probably the main reason. Wonder how much he makes in his other ventures. I know he opened a restaurant and I believe a golf course, along with all his endorsements.I’d guess he knows he won’t get a contract as good as his Madrid one.
Restaurants are bombing as investments, no guarantees that golf courses will pay off, maybe he’s a distress purchase...Probably the main reason. Wonder how much he makes in his other ventures. I know he opened a restaurant and I believe a golf course, along with all his endorsements.
Or perhaps it's because leaving Real for any other club in the world is a step backwards.I’d guess he knows he won’t get a contract as good as his Madrid one.
Arse ache. From memory (admittedly old and failing) there was a heap of condemnation for the way Bale handled himself during the saga (did he miss training or have a “niggling injury” or something), much of which was blamed squarely at his advisors.
Anyway, let’s not drag up the past and derail this hugely positive thread with the ramblings of a confused old man (not you, Trix. Me)
At what point is it time for a new challenge? He's about to play in his 4th champions league final and probably won't be starting just as he didn't in the last one. I know you don't have the answers so apologies. Just think its an interesting situation. At the end of the day nothing against him if he wants to stay there and make a bunch of money.Or perhaps it's because leaving Real for any other club in the world is a step backwards.

Don't disagree but they seem to have stabilized there over the past several years. Although they did fire Ancelotti right after winning La Decima so who knows. I just would be shocked if they got rid of Zidane who clearly doesn't have Bale at the top of the team sheet.Madrid is always a changing landscape though. Should they not win the CL final they will have won nothing this season and who knows where that leaves Zidane or where Bale fits in.

So he's saying there's a chance
Bale is one of the best players in the world. Are you mad.I just think Bale coming back would be an expensive mistake. One that would see us losing out in another area of the team that actually needs strengthening.
I'm not sure how Real Madrid is in the shade of their past glory.Thing is, there is an absolutely and fundamentally vital reason for Bale to consider a move. He makes tons of money from personal sponsorships and endorsements. That's not connected to the club he plays for, but a direct consequence of the brand that is Gareth Bale. Now, in order to keep that brand interesting and fresh and keep the revenue coming, which scenario is better: Rot on the bench for a club that's currently in the shade of their past glory, or return to old roots, and rock a new, fresh and silver-lined stadium in the best football league in the world.
My money would be on Bale needing a move soon to keep his personal commercial revenue coming. Yeah, he'd fetch a lower weekly sum from the club employing him, but financially he'd be better off.
I see you have well-developed ability at grasping the essence of a post.I'm not sure how Real Madrid is in the shade of their past glory.
