So much contradiction and seeming onions around this build. I suspect, unless you see the build programme with your own eyes, we're not going to know as I suspect most guys on site won't actually know.

Playing at Wembley for a month or two would be a right shitter, not to mention a logistical nightmare for the club as ST holders would need to be compensated, amongst other things.

This. No idea how they’d work out the ticketing As said would be a logistical nightmare. As far as PL agreeing I’m pretty sure they’d have to be a vote. So not sure you could categorically say they’d agree. But maybe Ben is up a crane ?

Well...it's reported that Levy has a good relationship with Richard Scudamore, (as he's ultimately the person who'll be making the decision regarding whether we can use two different venues for home games)...I hope this is true.

I've also read it has feck all to do with other clubs, but they're sure to be angered if we're allowed.

No surpise there...Wembley FA cup semi final home advantage crap springs to mind.

will the EPL accept this?: yes
Im pretty sure we wont be allowed to do that. we will just do like 9 away games like west ham did, or athletico this year or whatever. Not sure what to believe though, two weeks ago we were told it'd be done and dusted in august.

I know you can't always tell just looking from the outside and i'm no construction expert but the progress has looked pretty slow since the roof lift happened a month or two ago.

I doubt it won't be completed by October. With all the dates penned in (PL after a few away games, CL, and NFL) it would be a massive balls up not to have it ready. I think the relevant people will end up getting a kick up the arse to get it done in time.

Why are people on here still believing that the premier league would allow Spurs to play in two different stadiums next season?

It HAS to be a level playing field (parden the pun), Opposition playing at Wembley and NWL will be seen as having an advantage / disadvantage by others.

Cmon people stop believing everything you read / hear.

As mentioned we will play multiple away games first, the stadium will be ready but not completely finished. We have 3000 workers on site and if needed we will throw more workers at the build.

(or we could just phone Nick Knowles and get the DIY SOS big build team in)

;)

Supporters have already bought season tickets for next season for the new stadium, not for Wembley and NWL.
If we did play games at Wembley and white hart lane supporters would have to be reimbursed. It would be a PR nightmare for the club.

Not going to happen, we wont be playing at Wembley next season.

Anyone like me sad enough to watch the cams on the OS will not be surprised that they are behind. Let's just say that the site has never been a hive of activity and urgency is not a word I would use.

I hope it is all going to be fine though, it will just cost more to rush it through, almost like the builders had planned it

The whole 2 stadium thing is about a level playing field for all teams we play. I would certainly not be happy if say it were Chelsea in our situation . And Liverpool played them at Wembley 1st game of season and then we had to play them at their new stadium in January. Liverpool would definitely have had an advantage basically playing chelsea at a neutral stadium. Just can’t see anyway we’d get away with moving mid season.

Dan Kilpatrick wrote an article in the Evening Standard yesterday about it
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...wembley-for-part-of-next-season-a3839546.html

"Premier League chief Richard Scudamore holds the key to Tottenham’s hopes of starting next season at Wembley before moving to their new stadium.

Spurs are considering playing a run of home games at the national stadium if their 61,500-seater ground is not ready for the start of the campaign.

To play in two different home stadiums in the same season, Spurs would need permission from the Premier League board of executive chairman Richard Scudamore and non-executive directors Kevin Beeston and Claudia Arney. Ultimately, the decision is likely to come down to Scudamore, who has a good relationship with Daniel Levy and has held talks with the Spurs chairman over the club’s plans for next season.

Other Premier League clubs would not have a say in the decision, which could provoke anger if it is perceived Spurs are being given special treatment.

Spurs’ option to spend the whole of next season at Wembley expired last month but they have until the end of May to tell the FA if they want to continue at their temporary home for the start of the new campaign — one of the contingency plans agreed when they signed the deal with the FA last year.

Three-thousand workers are operating around the clock and the club are keeping their options open in the event of unexpected delays.

Spurs have already confirmed the possibility that they could start next season with a run of away matches, just as Liverpool and West Ham did in 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively. The Premier League are reluctant to grant Spurs more than three consecutive away games."

Worrying ITK about the slippage, but looking at the drone footage this morning, its easy to see they have an absolute ton of work left to do! I do a lot of work on shopping centre development and it is true that everything tends to come together at the last minute, but the fabric of the building is usually completed well in advance.

Did DL say we were going to be in for the start of next season in his end of season address?

The club would not leak that guff Ben is spouting. If you have a problem like that, you manage the situation and announce it properly with the solution to minimise the impact of it. Otherwise it causes a panic.

It also contradicts Levy’s end of season notes
