I genuinely doubt it comes to this but I am assuming there is also no clause for his staff who he would almost assuredly demand come with. Levy would no doubt demand compensation equal to all 4 of their contracts which I bet would be £55-60 million. They would then have to offer them all equal or greater wages. Yes Madrid have that kind of money on tap but Levy would make Madrid bleed.
I understand why many on here are nervous and I really don't blame you but there is a reason why Poch and Levy did what they did both knowing Madrid could come calling.

If Poch succumbs to Madrid’s advances, the only way I’d be ok with that is if we got Luis Enrique in, Bale & Modric back as part of the deal plus £800M in compensation.

I think that with Real Madrid, you can't go there and still be learning how to win matches by in-game management. You have to already be able to manage the team and substitutions to win. At Spurs, Pochettino is clearly still learning this and should continue to develop that skill.

Signing a new 5 year contract just 7 days ago is absolutely an indication of his future desires. I can't believe people are trying to spin it that signing a new contract just a week ago is not a sign of Poch's commitment to Spurs. Poch would have to be a moron, if he thought he shouldn't wait to see what happens at Madrid before signing the new Spurs contract. Poch could easily have delayed signing a new contract for another month or two to see what happened at Madrid before committing to Spurs. Spurs wouldn't have been able to rush Poch, they would have had to deal with it. Yet Poch signs a new contract within weeks of the season finishing. That is the absolute sign of commitment to Spurs, and all this speculation about him getting wet for Madrid is just baseless speculation.

Entirely get why Poch would want to go, it's Real Madrid, and there's a lotta good young players to work with, but surely they want someone with a history of winning things? It's the most instant success job in football.

One thing to mention is that this season we saw how annoyed Poch got when he thought us fans were complaining about his management. He didn’t like it at all and I actually thought he was being quite prescious about it.
Now imagine that times a thousand every day and that’s even when you win. That is Real Madrid fans. I think the job is too big for him at the moment. He wouldn’t be good with the criticism.
Trouble is, when you look through the Madrid managers of the last 20 years there are a lot of strange appointments. They don’t always appoint the man best for the job. Well, not every time.
