SSN seem to be less enthusiastic about him being their next manager now. He got the same amount of coverage as Wenger in their 11pm round up.

Probably trying to move the money on skybet

Madrid aren't as trigger happy as they were in the 2000s. Mourinho, Ancelotti and Zidane all got three seasons. I'll take the positive ITK news today for now and hope for a clear statement from MP tomorrow.
Mate all three of those were successes and ego massagers. Benitez lasted half a year.

Also Ancelotti got two seasons not three and was sacked after finishing second the year after winning the CL, very harsh considering Madrid really do not win the league very often [twice in ten years].

You're right. I don't think it's the career graveyard some are painting it as though.

Looking at the comments on Marca they don't seem thrilled about Pochettino. Not unhappy but not banging the drum for him either. The ones backing him seem to assume he'll bring Kane and Dele with him. Plenty of people saying 'what's he won?' and 'doesn't have the stature to manage that dressing room'. The ones who don't fancy MP want Loew. But what they all really want is Klopp - and none of them think they can get him.

SSN saying RM approached Poch.
As you would expect, he is clearly their number 1 target.

Btw with Low, his lack of club experience is a thing, but I'd argue managing RM is a lot like manging a national team more about creating a positive atmosphere and getting players motivated than dealing with tactics and what not. It is a lot more like managing Germany than it is Spurs

Not any more, it’s yellow banner news now that RM have approached Spurs to talk to Poch.

As has been said though, Poch would’ve known that Zidane could’ve been sacked this week if they’d lost to Liverpool and still decided to sign a 5 year contract last week.

The only thing that slightly worries me, despite the positive itk, is that now it’s actually happening (if ssn are correct....) then it’s different to saying no in advance to a rumour. When a Madrid representative actually contacts Spurs and it’s no longer a rumour, then it may create a different reaction in Poch. Keegan said about a hundred times that he’d never take the England job while he was at Fulham (even used the phrase ‘people who know me know I wouldn’t do that to Fulham’) and then they offered it to him anyway and he took it.

I’m still convinced he’ll stay though.

Amazed at some being so relaxed about this.

This is our worst nightmare come true. Just had to happen that Perez has the hots for Poch, he always seems to target Spurs ffs. Modric, Bale, now Poch.

I am really worried. I don't think Poch will go, but I could imagine it easily. If his head gets turned, it's bye bye Poch. Would be a disaster for us.

Not sure how he turns them down.

Sounds like you do think he’ll go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Times have put together a pretty huge piece on the Poch interest.

They insist the release clause and/or verbal agreement are NOT true.

They say Spurs are confident they can resist all advances. Spurs are said to be comforted by the fact Poch didn't ask for a clause despite knowing of the heavy interest from RM.

Finally they say if Poch's head does get turned. They'll demand the full £42.5m of his contract value as compensation.
