If they want Toby then we should just tell them that martial comes the other way or no deal.
If Toby doesn’t like it, well tough, he can go to another club or stay with us for another year and get sold for £25m to anyone but Utd.

He can go to United for £25m next season. It's a clause, they just have to activate it.

Something tells me Toby is greedy and wont hold out one more year with his current salary. Just a gut feeling.

Maybe. I just wonder if the people saying not to sell to United for (for arguments sake) £50m now, would be ok if he waited 12 months and joined them anyway for £25m.

Well he still has a year on his contract plus one more they can activate I believe. I don't think they need to sell this summer?

Bayern won't spend big this summer apparently so doubt it will be them mate. Hoping were the only big team in for him as Juve have a few decent wingers I suppose like us but nothing like Martial
Why would you wanna keep a player who doesn't want to stay and the manager doesn't even like to play?If anything his price will decrease next yr.
Also the fact that getting Martial means we'll be getting a winger + backup striker to Kane makes him even bigger of a priority.The beauty of JJ tweeting that means we have a chanceand Hercs ITK is great means we are seriously pursuing. i feel the player will sit there and slowly reject other clubs that man utd push towards him, under the promise that we will def pick him up. once other options exhausted man utd may consider us assuming we give them a premium*

The way Douglas Costa played this past season hopefully means they won't go for another quality left sided winger. I'm not sure what other players they have in that spot though, might be a depth thing. I could see them going after Martial for depth at that position if he's alright moving without the promise of starter's minutes.

I think we all, myself included, because of their prestige overestimate the spending power of Bayern and Juve. They rarely splash cash and instead rely on their status to vacuum players on the cheap. Juve spending big immediatelt after selling Pogba their outlier, not their norm. I would not doubt ManU would take a cut price bid from them over us but how much? If we are offering 50... 60? Will they taken 30 from Juve? Maybe they have the kind of money where that doesn't matter.

Not forgetting Hertyid said about a month ago that this summer would finally see Martial come to Spurs.
Considering we are clearly talking to them about Alderweireld or will be soon, the lines of communication seem to be open between us and them, we have a player they want and they have a player we want. Both players want the moves, I can't see how United can refuse to sell to us.
If it wasn't for Toby I'd be sceptical about getting Martial but thankfully they want him so I see both these deals happening fairly quickly. I don't see how United refuse to sell us Martial yet expect us to sell them Toby.
