So they’ll let a 22/23 year old, who cost them £40-50m, run down his contract and leave on a free? I think not.

Was there not very recent talk of a new contract possibly being offered?

No I agree entirely. I posted

"That's cobbled together from this: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2...nsfer-rumours-tottenham-to-sign-wilfried-zaha"

Not to try to shoot him down, moan or say that he shouldn't post it, was just highlighting that the article came from a rumour so people know it for what it is.

Thanks for understanding (y)

It's not that. If people start filling the threads with tweets from agentitk etc... it just spams the thread and any credible information is lost and people will stop visiting the thread. It's why rob and a&c are tough on twitter.

Try and make sure that the information you post is from a credible source.

I didn't post it :cry::cry::cry::cry:

United will sell Martial. United are trying to appease their fans by pushing him to ask for a move/ hand in a transfer request.

Martial is still a fan favourite there

I agree. He may well not be sold to us but they will sell him and make it look like they did everything they could to not.

But are they tough on the causes of Twitter?

Would really like to get this deal done and soon. Think it would be a big statement for the rest of our recruitment this summer.

What's the problem, though. They're called Tottenham Related & they post anything and everything associated to Tottenham Hotspur. They don't proclaim to have first hand knowledge of anything, they don't claim that any info is their own, they simply look for all things THFC and post it for others to see/read.

Even their bio clearly states, "Largest independent @SpursOfficial fan account. All #thfc related content collected into one feed"
You'd be amazed to find out that Hotspur Related is run by literally one guy, Ross. Has a more personal account of @RossTweeting. Having been in group chats with him, yeah he just finds and regurgitates information, but is v much aware of who is better and more accurate than who.

Based off all the reports it seems we're not budging off either crazy money for Toby or give us Martial. Will be interesting to see who gives first.

United a damn right disrespectful if they feel they can bully us to sell Toby to them while not allow Martial to go the other way.

I suppose we do bring such things on ourselves. I believe we wanted Sancho from Man City as part of the Kyle Walker deal and was flatly refused.

It was among the 5,382 or so guesses and A&C confirmed one of those guesses was right so... maybe?

This seems to have gone really quiet. Can anyone see United selling him to us? I just dont see it!
It's hard for me to see it happening. But IF it did, i think it would go something like this:

1. Maureen has for whatever reason lost faith in Bailly (bizarre because the kid looked solid) and has no faith in Lindelof, who looks like a bust to me, particularly in a back three. The shit performance that United put up in the FA cup, with Smalling and Jones at the back vomiting Chelsea goals, was Maureen sending a message to Woodfart that United need a world class center half and not kids from Valencia or the Portugese league, despite whatever potential they may have.

2. The market for world class center halves doesn't really exist, as demonstrated by City paying an outrageous 75M for Aymeric Laporte's release clause in January. Umtiti just re-signed at Barca. Van Dijk off the market and no obvious "next big thing" at any mid-table premier league side.

3. United think we need the money, but it turns out we actually don't...Levy grows a pair and decides not to sell Toby this summer for an extra 25M above his release clause in 2019. August rolls around and United still have no world class center half and we move forward with Toby still on the roster as valuable depth.

4. United find another winger who Maureen covets.

If all of that happened, well...maybe...?

united won't sell any player to us, they're not stupid ... they know if they flash enough cash, well sell a top player to them

Weird. Wasn't it Fergie (or someone extremely high up) who said that United literally hate dealing with Tottenham because Levy is pretty much impossible to deal with?

If Toby comes back he's a starter no question about it. Like you just said he's world class, he's not sitting on the bench here next season. I completely expect him to come back but if he's still here he's starting.
