How the hell was Poland one of the seeded teams? They are getting humiliated.

The American commentators have lost their minds. They're convinced that the 2nd goal is one of the most controversial goals in World Cup history because the referee waved the player on and then he scored. Poland just ****ed up.

Never even heard then mension Szczesny. Fox is awful. This is the worst World Cup coverage since the 90's.

What are the rules and regulations for allowing a player to come back on? Usually the refs wait until he's not in an attacking position or the opposition has clear possession.

The Poland defender had just headed the ball towards the Senegal match when he waved him on. Poland just f'ed up afterwards.

I'm not saying he's wrong. I'm just wondering what the official guidelines are.

There aren't any. The ref can wave a player back on whenever they want, but common sense says you should avoid giving that team a clear advantage when you wave a player on.

Nah that whole sequence was screwed. A sub was made and the 4th official held up the board(granted, it wasnt for Niang). Then they went back on making the sub even though the 4th official clearly held up the board. Then the ref waved Niang back on when Poland did not have clear possession and the ball was being cleared. Shouldnt have been waived back on at that point. Poor from Sczeseny but also shocking from the officiating crew.

Half time in the Poland/Senegal game. Senegal probably just deserving to edge it, very tight tussle, bit disappointed in Poland, don’t like their 442 with Milik in there - sure I said the same at the Euros??
