Is this a goodbye?
There's probably no hidden meaning at all.
I don't think it's possible to find a like-for-like replacement for Dembele. I can't think of a single player that combines his grace, power, unique ability to glide past people and also complete lack of cutting edge. I think Grealish, with a holding midfielder behind him, could play the same position, but in a completely different way. He'd make some Dembele-ish runs from deep but also keep the ball ticking over and spraying passes. Probably score more than 1 goal a century too.People going on about him replacing Dembele but I’m not entirely sure how he resembles dembele at all, grealish is all about quick and intuitive passing and offering a goal threat whereas dembele offers no goal threat or incisive passing whatsoever, more strength and dribbling as his strengths with little else and loads of inconsistency and injuries, they are nothing like each other!!
As explained by others. Maybe we are not looking to replace dembele with a like for like.People going on about him replacing Dembele but I’m not entirely sure how he resembles dembele at all, grealish is all about quick and intuitive passing and offering a goal threat whereas dembele offers no goal threat or incisive passing whatsoever, more strength and dribbling as his strengths with little else and loads of inconsistency and injuries, they are nothing like each other!!
Yeah, don't see why he'd bother making it black and white or make such a nostalgic comment if he wasn't saying goodbye. Especially given the speculation about him being on the brink of a move.I think there is something in that insta post, especially after the info here a couple of days ago.
Is this a goodbye?
If it is I'm not sure it's us, most seem to have him L'Pool bound.
