I have to say we watched it at Chilfest in a big screen without commentary and it was great!
Think the general consensus was it was great but that was because of the slightly older audience...

I think that’s it. Some of us are getting old!

I’m in my mid 30s and used to love watching England games in pubs. Just can’t do it now! :)

The frustrating thing is it's most likely not even England "fans" doing the damage. You can guarantee the slapper in the second tweet you posted had never watched a football match in her life before the World Cup and probably couldn't name more than 2 players in the England squad.

Probably just had one WKD blue too many and thought it would make her look cool.
Showing your age sir, do they still do WKD?! Saw it in an Only Fools re-run the other night and me and the missus wet ourselves!

Wife has a work colleague who follows England everywhere.
He's just shared an England supporters club message that they have only cat 1 tickets available and are over £500!

Some police forces recorded their highest ever number of 999 calls in a 24 hour period. It's more than a couple of idiots. There's a big problem with "lad" culture in this country fuelled by things like that casual twitter account and all the braindead fuckwits that follow it. The Japanese tidy stadiums, we get drunk and cause chaos. It's no wonder we have a shit reputation abroad.

I agree about lad culture but i work for 4 police forces and can say the increase was minimal, no where near new years eve ect

All countries are becoming more even now as before it was always your Germany, Argentina, Spain, Brazil etc. Sweden beat Italy and Holland to arrive here, Japan almost best Belgium and Croatia smashed Argentina 3-0. England have been in control more than any other team this World Cup given the second team played Belgium. If they beat Croatia they deserve everything, it just doesn’t seem as sexy without a win against a traditional dominant team like Brazil (who were never even impressive).

She’s not ‘celebrating’ anything, she’s just being a dickhead.

You`re right. The bottom line is better and more even than ever. Croatia is by the way a very strong team!

All sides seem trained to attack whenever they have the ball. Maybe with the exception of Spain and their tired-looking death by a thousand passed approach. In a way I miss the 70s/80s when it was a real clash of styles between the Brazilians, Italians, French, British and Dutch etc but there have been so few poor games this time I can't really complain.
