I'm guessing Levy is wanting to risk it with Martial as i'm sure he'd prefer not to pay a big fee on Zaha without recouping any of it. Martial would likely cost us nothing net with Toby going the other way.

The ITK states that Poch loves Zaha, who is his number 1 choice, so I doubt this is the case unless Levy is a madman

High stakes-Poker-Bluff-And all the odjectives. Daniel Levy is going to have to deliver on his promises to Poch! Zaha we know. He hasn’t physically spoken to us yet officially, but will know in next 48 hours is my estimate.

I would not agree Toby to Yanited, if they block Martial to us. To me it reflects sadly bad on us as a big club, who have no political power against the big guns. So statements HAS to be made. We need to make it QUICK! I am sure the press will come out in that soon enough, and you will all put 1+1 together.

Poch has been PROMISED his 3 target signings before close of window.

Zaha and Martial :woot::hungry:

Personally, I'd sooner Martial. But regardless...

Sounds like our old friend, the trusty F5 key, is going to get a bit of a rogering.

Really wish we didn't have to leave it this late, but you gotta admit; It's bloody exciting!

Thanks for the ITK updates, gents.

sounds like we are trying to get both. This means we are going cheap on CM.

Best case scenario

Martial and Zaha with Jansen, Nkodou and llorente leaving

Grealish and Gomes with Dembele..sissoko..leaving and Onomah on loan

De ligt with Toby Leaving

If Poch is as keen on Zaha as we've been repeatedly told, I have no idea why we would jeopodise a deal on the off chance we might somehow get Martial. The whole Martial/Alderweireld thing could completely derail us and buying Zaha would enable us to give Jose the finger.

I trust Levy. If he felt there was no budging united or if Woodward is mucking him about, Zaha would already be parading a spurs shirt. I reckon he'll come through on his promise.

Love your confidence but leaving it so late in the TW is massively risky. Levy has cocked things up before. In 2008 we were confident of signing Arshavin after agreeing the sale of both Berbatov and Robbie Keane. Zenit wouldn't agree a deal and we ended up with Fraser-Campbell on loan.

If we do want both I see no reason why there would be a connection, surely one is not dependent upon the other.

SC all summer: FFS Daniel, be brave.

Levy: Right, I'm going to play high stakes poker, bluff and double-bluff both selling and buying clubs, take it right to the wire and make my final call just as Jim White starts his countdown to the close of the window.

SC now: FFS, not that brave.

If Levy doesn’t deliver for Poch then I personally would want him to either give us an ultimatum or up and leave. He deserves better than that and would easily get the backing of another top side so I wouldn’t blame him if he did either.

People are obviously going to panic and get agitated about this but this is the same tactic we have always used. In fact, I'd argue we've made some of our best signings this way- think about the players we have signed in the last few days of previous windows.

Of course it could go south and it has in the past but the most important people (Poch) seem to be calm about everything. I'm sure that in a weeks time things will be much clearer and we'll be on the verge of getting some signings.

So it's sounding like it will go to deadline day. I guess Daniel Levy isn't a fan of the buy it now option on Ebay.

I think this was ok but I believe we should now begin to act like the big club we have undoubtably become. Consistent Champions League side. 60,000 plus stadium. One of the world's best managers, very high wages offered. We should now be operating in the transfer market in a manner fitting our status, not scrabbling around on the last day.

ITK does seem to suggest that we have deals in place and just need to pull the trigger on them but having not done so it can leave the fan base feeling a touch of deja vu.

It sounds like the Alderweireld/Martial deal will go to deadline day. United are obviously exploring other options, but Mourinho wants Toby and will likely spit his dummy out if he has no CB in come deadline day, which will force them to deal.

We obviously can't wait that long to do a deal for Zaha, so assuming we sign him and then United offer Martial in exchange for Toby, do we still do that deal? I'd say yes, but it could potentially leave us light at CB, and we definitely also need a CM.

Going to be an interesting week or so that's for sure.
