Thanks for the update Trix. If indeed the Zaha and Grealish deals are dead, then I presume we will have to turn to another HG player target to fill one of the 3 targeted incommings. Cook maybe as a backup as a previous ITK suggested

Sorry must have missed this, who has said Zaha is dead?

We need a home grown player; If Grealish isn't happening anymore, if Zaha isn't happening any more, buckle up everyone - we will go hard on likes of Lewis Cook (who is the name mentioned by ITK few days back) and probably end up overpaying.

With European transfer window still going on and PL ending in 11 days, we are going to be stuck with few outgoings - European club more than happy to sit tight for us to reduce the asking price.

However way you look at it, not moving early is going to bite us. I hope Levy & Poch have backup plans.

Lol, no we won't - we'll bulk at the price and move on

Zaha is not dead! But our chairman is being Scrooge, and friggin difficult. Nobody can be closer in this than myself, so I know the true figures needed. And it is not that bad!...

Saying that, cannot see him signing with us

Let's hope that 3rd (Europe) option is half decent...but wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't happen either.
Not looking very good is it...

Truthfully mate, I am pessimistic. But! Knowing our chairman, he will cover his cock-ups and say it was all part of the plan. As long as we get what we deserve is where my faith leans on a tad of pessimism.

My issue with is even if we get some signings in it’s clear it’s a patch up job.

Hope he pulls it out of the bag somewhere...if not here!

I thought we had a bid for Zaha accepted according to ITK? Is Levy being tight on the wages then and not paying the going rate?

Thanks as always Herc for the info, even if it is really depressing. Herc has consistently been the most optimistic guy on here from April/May. His tone has really changed over past month or so.

I often wonder if Herc heard a lot of things that Poch was also told - big spending, get guys in early, etc. Right now all of those things that were supposedly promised to Poch appear - and hopefully this wont be the case but time is running out - appear to be nothing but lies from Levy.

Scary part of the ITK is about Levy having to do what he hates to do (pay up). I dont believe he can. That's what's scary. I dont know if he is even capable of it. He has done a great job getting Spurs to this spot but his ways of doing things and trying to nickel and dime everything is holding them back.

The biggest worry is Poch leaving of course and if promises were made and then not fulfilled, no one would blame Poch for going somewhere else. If that happens i think the whole thing falls apart.

You would think Levy realizes this and how high the stakes are but is he capable of actually doing what is needed?
