Who we could have signed for £2 million but the club are not good at taking risks on signing young players of this type despite the financial rewards (Alli was an exception).

We obviously thought we could get Grealish for £20m or less, but now it's looking like it's going to be over £30m...

This is what spurs do, they beat you down with a terrible window into thinking 30 mill for Grealish is a good idea. Same as Sissoko deal before, we all had to suddenly believe he might be alright. Grealish is a far better player but 30 mill for him is a fucking joke.
