I have every faith in Poch and the squad but youth isn't the answer. One of our supposed highest rated youngsters was being pimped to Villa in exchange for Jack Grealish. I'm not most avid youth watcher or follower of our youth teams but there isn't exactly a wealth of options there is there? Skipp is 17 ffs. We needed to strengthen and we haven't, it's been dreadful from start to finish. We have a fantastic selection of world class players, but to expect them to excel and perform on four fronts this coming season is ridiculous.

While Levy deals with transfers, we will NEVER compete for any major honours. He's been great for the new stadium, training ground etc..

But it's time someone else came in, because his methods are outdated - and he's relying on Poch to keep us competitive.

Wow that's a pretty big statement.
It's Poch I worry about, players come and go but losing our manager is a real worry.

Transfer Embargo is better scenario. Everyone has a set expectation. We will look at the youth more close and generally look at positives and make the best of what we have. This is worse. There is no positive in our current situation

Yes but if the deals can't be done for either/both of those (due to complications with Toby and Villa moving the goalposts) then so be it. Sometimes deals don't get done through no fault of anyone. People will say we should have had back ups/contingencies but by definition they would not be as good- and I am not certain JG or AM would get into our first team- so we keep the squad together and move forwards.

I genuinely am amazed by the high number of apocalyptic posters on here. A good signing would have been encouraging but we're the third best team in the country and the second best have hardly signed anyone so I am not sure what the big deal is if we don't sign anyone.

Why are we scrambling around with 4 hours to go then, we've had all fucking summer. Of course it's really difficult if left this late.

We all know the answer, because we don't start really trying until the dying hours as seller more likely to drop price.

Should that always outweigh forward planning and moving earlier. Not for me, especially when the current manager deserves more than any other to be really backed.
