How on earth does losing a player whose dug his own grave and made his position untenable and replacing him with a shit hot and much younger player make us weaker? Are you high?
Would you blame him?

£58m in profit last season. What's the point?
That must be a much more relaxing experience being a fan of a club under transfer embargo... it's the false hope that has killed usThere are still players being offered to us including one from Italy(who is being offered to all the better sides), but I doubt it will come to anything.
I know how it feels to be a fan of a club under a transfer embargo now.
Well, at the end of the day it's Tottenham Hotspur Football Club I support, I love, and I am committed to for better or worse, sickness and health, richer or poorer.
And my wife. Her too.
But Spurs came first...
If Toby and Poch are all good, then this is better than any new central defender we could have signed as a replacement. If Toby not sold today, he will not be available. Apparently settled his differences with Poch and club. Let’s see...
YES HERC!TecGoby, trolling you as it is. Didn’t say he signed a new contract. Poch will not bite off his nose dispite his face
Yep let's see... if he signs a new contract. If Toby not sold today, he will not be available. Apparently settled his differences with Poch and club. Let’s see...
I'm not fucking happy"I am happy to keep all the squad together, there were many rumours during the summer about players out," the Spurs boss said.
"The club made a massive effort to try and extend contracts of Harry Kane, just one example. The club is trying to finish the stadium as soon as possible.
"It is difficult to understand for people in football that Tottenham didn’t sign or didn’t sell players but sometimes in football, you need to behave different.
"We are happy with our squad and we cannot improve our squad. It is better to keep our squad all together, we believe a lot in our players."
There you go...Poch is as happy as Larry!
Will be like a new signingIf Toby not sold today, he will not be available. Apparently settled his differences with Poch and club. Let’s see...

Hopefully he's about more than just the money though. Don't someone who's happy just because he's on a decent salary.Yes I can think of 5 times £8.5m for him being such a gent

Right. This window hasn’t fucked English teams plans. It’s fucked Levy’s plan. Which is always sell to buy.I think this early end to the window is killing Levy's strategy of not buying until he has sold some to make up the difference. Foreign teams are sitting back and waiting until the English transfer window is over so they can then get better deals on the surplus players.
Just seems like Levy won't take a leap of faith that he will be able to ditch some salaries so he won't really pull the trigger on any signings.
