The level of acceptance is mind boggling.

Fair play.

It's a fact. Just look at the rest of the league. Manchester United haven't been able to sign the players they wanted nor have City bar Mahrez. Arsenal have signed a load of shite. Only Keita is worth shouting about.

Am I happy we haven't strengthened the squad this window - no.

Am I accepting that there's no point losing my shit over something I have zero control over - yes.

Am I going to back the manager and the players into the new season going into a brand new stadium, regardless of a frustrating transfer window - yes.

It's impossible to deny this is a shambles.

Fair enough if there weren't any marquee signings out there that fitted our needs/budget. But to not even sign one or two unproven/hopeful players is baffling.

What on earth have our scouts being doing all season?!

That's one of things I said a short while back, to improve our situations and options in the centre of midfield for instance, we do not need world class players to be purchased at all.

Now I am the point where I will be annoyed if we just sign someone, as it would ruin the «not signed anyone record» we currently hold...

This may have already been said (I haven't the time to scroll through 83 pages, sorry) but ... If we (sign nobody and) manage to retain Danny Rose, Moose, AND Toby, and crucially manage to keep them all focused on SPURS, then I can't imagine a better transfer window, tbh

... Sure, we could do with a more effective back-up striker, maybe a bit more creativity from midfield, IN AN IDEAL WORLD.
That's sort of the point though, without CE and/or HK we struggle. We needed something in those areas grealish/pulisic/martial/Zaha something of that ilk I'm sure there are others. Imo someone to backup eriksen would be the priority to me but hey ho there is always next year let's hope the players are as chilled about this as poch is reported to be.

Yes, but do you like asking yourself questions and then answering them? That's what I'd like to know

Can’t wait for this squad to soldier on and still finish top four, only to validate our transfer policy this window and ensure Summer Shit Show Part II in 2019.

So........Given that you've had a lot of license given in this thread today, do we still need a thread to batter Marvin the Martian in?

After seeing the way you've been playing the crowd, if there's something you'd like to say to say on the subject, I'd be interested in reading at least the first post in such a thread.
