I thought I would be fuming by now but I'm honestly not that bothered as I believe in our team and most of all, Poch.
I was actually way more disappointed when I realized we'd gone for Sissoko two summers ago.

You really think Poch is cool? Really?

I'll bet my left bollock he's not. Im not saying he's going to kick up a fuss and leave but he's got a right challenge keeping this club in the CL in my opinion.

All starting away at Newcastle with Sissoko in CM. Fuck me.

Well, coming from JJ - yes, I'd say he could well be.

JJ posts objectively imo.

Some people on here really need to grow up! Daniel Levy has taken this club from mid-table mediocrity to one of the top clubs in England.

We already have a young squad capable of challenging for silverware, many of whom are entering the prime years of their careers. We have the best striker in Europe, we have one of the best goalkeepers in the world. We have a manager who loves working with young players whom he can impart his ideas and ethics. We have the best stadium in the country, we have the best training ground in the country (even the England squad chose to train there).

So what if we didn't sign any players this window, i bet most fans of other clubs wish that their club was run as well as ours.

I think the reason why we are taking this so badly is due what we have been hearing the last few months. Reports of big transfer war chest, Levy wanting to make big statement of intent and breaking our current transfer record. To signing no one and Poch saying is happy with what he has and will look to youth. I smell BS. Its no wonder so many are frustrated and angry.
Poch did add 'or zero' when asked about possible signings...

I expect you'll be even more disappointed when he plays the majority of games in the next two months. ;)

Depends on your view on "competitive" sure we were competitive in every game, but we got completely left in the dust when it came to actually competing for the league title.
By that token, so did everyone else, who far outspent us. I think we will be competitive enough for the top 5 imo.

I respect Trix & Herc but if JJ says Poch is fine then I’m ‘slightly’ happier

Poch may be fine but that fact remains we havent strengthened whereas all our rivals have, if come the end of the season we fail to finish in the top 4 all this being happy talk will come back to bite everyone at the club and the consequences will follow

We have a starting XI that is as good as any in the league.

We have some depth - not a ton, but some.

There is no reason, as we sit here today, to concede the league to City or Liverpool, or anyone else. Its a long season. We have great players. Lets focus on what we do have, and not what we don't have.

Not bothered. I don't believe the players we've been linked with bar Martial would be a huge improvement on our squad.

"The club are watching Social Media like gestapo"

So I wouldn't put too much faith in ANYTHING I read on Twitter from ANY source right now, people have sources/jobs or whatnot to protect.
I would have thought if that's the case matey then they wouldn't tweet at all.

But just my #opinion.

My money is on A&C here, but for no reason other than I know what Stoof looks like and he is not a scary man, whereas I imagine A&C could audition for the part of Maynard in a pulp fiction remake...

If we are that worried about HG - why didn’t we go out and sign a host of promising young English talent? Sure there is a lot around which we could fill our U-23 team with and get rid of some of the dross.

As i said in the thread earlier some of you are just wanting signings because you just do, maybe its like a shiny new toy or a puppy. Unless though Spurs find somebody who will not be crazy amounts on wages and will not be insanely expensive but can improve the team then i doubt they will be bought. Just because we have a new ground does not mean that our spending ways will change , not for a good few years yet. I'm happy with the squad we have , the only area i worry a little is centre mid but if Winks comes back and stays fit and Dembele can handle the season then that's all gravy. The only player i liked the sound of that we were linked with was Martial and Zaha and they would cost a ton.

Anyway not long to go now

I agree but to be honest mate it's been a few years now that I've thought just a couple of 'special' signings to compliment the likes of Kane, Eriksen, Dele, our impressive back line etc would be massive and potentially game changing for us. It hasn't just been this window that we haven't really propelled ourselves, it's been quite a few now.
