Nah. We will still put out a decent team. Wouldn’t be surprised if we lost, but they’re not on great form, so a shellacking is unlikely I think.
You do have to wonder about these injuries. Liverpool, for instance, only very, very rarely have an injury to a key player, and most of our domestic rivals are generally largely untroubled by injuries to key players. For us to have six out for a vital game suggests something is wrong somewhere.
it's called having more players in the WC than any other team.
Poch has been talking about this since pre season and yet with every match day there is yelling from fans about not playing our best side/ formations etc.
It has been bloomin clear that he is just trying to manage the squad for the first part/half of this season to try and get some rest for players but the int. break didn't benefit us

With all these injuries coming at once, it’s so lucky that we added all that depth to the squad in the summer. FFS

-----------------Lloris---------------

Tripps--Toby---Sanchez--Rose

--------Wanyama---Winks------

Lucas--------Son-------Lamela

----------------Kane----------------

Other than the three behind Kane in slightly different starting positions, this is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Is it inconceivable that Poch could pick a similar line up to that he used to good effect away at the Bernabeu last season? I.e. Llorente up top with Kane and 5 at the back?

So with the injury news, I reiterate:

Assuming none of the injury doubts make it, I think it has to be something like:

Gazza
Trippier Toby Sanchez Rose
Wanyama Dier
Lucas Lamela Son
Kane
It's likely we'll be pushed back and enjoy less of the ball, so try to block up the centre of the park and have players who are able to counter.

Makes zero sense, but it'll happen.
sorry to pick on your comment but you made my earlier point for me - we already have a LOT of muscle injuries, Poch rotates full backs because of the wear and tear in the system. Danny was out for a year and had a v short pre-season. If he plays two games in 4 days and gets another long term injury we are in trouble.
Smart move from Poch.

Seems like Poch is done with Llorente.

Fair, I just think we are fucked if we're throwing Davies out against Messi.

given we were two up after the pen he won then sat back at the weekend I think he's got a good 75 mins in the tank for tomorrow night.
If we're done earlier then take him off, but if we're still in the hunt then I say milk him. Davies can play against his Welsh brothers at the weekend, more his level- of late. He really has been pony all season.

The problem is I suspect they would have been taking a game against Girona a lot less seriously than against us.

If we press too high we run the risk of getting absolutely mullered on the counter attack.
I'm not really worried about Barca on the counter. They have the quality but they never seem to do it very often and their backline is going to be shaky without Umtiti

Anyone of you not putting Dier in your starting 11 must not realise Poch is still our coach.. He’s starting. Certainly with this many injuries will he not be starting, don’t know if it’ll be defence or midfield, but he’s starting, get used to it.

Personally I’d like to see

Lloris
Toby Sanchez Dier
Trips Wanyama Winks Rose
Lamela Son
Kane

That’s still a good 11 there. Fingers crossed.

I have BT Sport but I can't see it on the channels. Is this a press red to watch different games?

Ignore me, I thought it was tonight
