He wasn’t trying to hold it up. He was trying to flick it on to a Spurs runner who had charged ahead of the play. It was a reckless but necessary play (given the time and situation) and if it had come off it would have sent us away.But he should also be strong enough to hold up the ball. It was poor play from him.
But Sissoko struggles with a simple touch and it was a poor ball into him in the first place. His decision making was correct his skill level unfortunately not up to it. But we know a that and so does he.
