The guy is getting too big for his boots.
He's never too big for the boot...

I think if given a proper chance, KWP will take the spot snd not let go. He is good enough already, IMO. It’s up to us to give him a proper run of games. He fits Poch’s system perfectly. Him and Aurier should be the RB’s.If Rose doesn’t get fit and Aurier or KWP don’t grab the RB spot I’d be seriously tempted to go to a back 4 of:
Vertonghen Sanchez Alderweireld Foyth
Yeah it won’t offer anywhere near as much in attack but we have wingers at the club and at least we’d have two players at full back who are defensively solid. Sick of seeing us getting rinsed down the wings week in week out.
We won’t sign full backs in January so get to summer and buy two new ones who actually fit what Poch needs from them.
Ill take the errors from KWP because as you said, he’s inexperienced. Trippier, however, is very experienced but still makes a boat load of defensive errors and his pathetic attitude blaming others makes it worse. Give me the young, inexperienced player making errors but with loads of potential any day of the week.Aurier has looked good last couple of games and I like what he can bring but let’s not pretend he’s got no big fuck ups in him. The KWP stuff is getting a bit silly too. He could be the greatest in the world but the kid is very inexperienced so it’s certainly no given he comes in and makes no costly errors.

"Trippier joined Manchester City's academy at the age of nine, where he progressed through the ranks at the club, signing his first professional contract in 2007. In the 2007–08 season he became a regular in the reserve team" Never got further than reserve team player and they had nearly 10 years to assess whether he was going to make it and they obviously didn't believe he would
Should have cashed in this summer when his stock was high. Simply incapable of defending which is problematic when he plays at RB. He only has one role in the squad which is when we play poor teams at home who don’t attack us and when he can do his poor man’s Beckham impression.
Right, but that is simply because Trippier takes free kicks and Corners.
As a FB, he ranks 51st in the league in creating chances from his position.
They were still wrong though. Despite current form he's still made it as a premier League player.
Can you imagine all the negative press if we had sold him though. It would've been non stop selling club comments for months.
If we sold him to ManU and had Son going up against him, we would all love that matchup.I think this is a big choice the club has to make.
I actually think we should embrace our position as a ‘selling club.’
Not to say we should sell our stars but we know Trippier has limitations and if we can get a high bid while his stock is high then we should do it regardless of press and fan interpretation.
"from his position" = "open play"20 teams playing 2 full backs means all 38 starting opposing full backs plus 13 subs creating more chances than him.
I don’t think that is correct.
"from his position" = "open play"
It does not mean he creates the 51st most chances among FBs
Went back and watched the highlights from yesterday and the goals weren't his only poor contribution last night. In the build-up to that Neves shot Lloris superbly saved he got lost between playing the line and following Costa, it wasn't the only time this happened.
It happened with Davies a few times too, although at least Davies is much more sensible when he's the last man.
If I was an opposition coach or analyst I'd be targeting these two and trying to isolate them as much as possible. Sorry, but it's the truth.
