So we need to beat Inter by 2 clear goals, and then go to Barcelona to try and win.

I think we'll beat Inter fairly comfortably, they're not a great side.

Still going out, but to go out tonight would have been embarrassing.

I wouldn’t be too sure. This Tottenham team has delivered at least some glory each season in some form or another. Getting out of this group could be that very glory this season.

To do is to dare and all that...

The hope would be Barca lay their foot of the pedal having already topped group, perhaps play their 2nd string, but let's beat Inter 1st, looking forward to that game now!

I do hope Poch learns a lesson from that game. Given how much we struggle offensively at the moment, going with a similar line up for some of the EPL games could pay dividends offensively. Yes, the defense will struggle but there is a bit of a risk/reward that could pay off in terms of team mentality

I don't there was no balance in the middle of the pitch as we didn't have a recognsied holding midfielder, the only reason we dominated so much is because PSV decided to stick 10 men behind the ball after an hour.

We weren’t at our best but we comfortably deserved to win the game, we were much the better side. Special mentions to Winks, Moura and Sanchez who were all excellent.

We had a lot of very tired looking players at the end, really hope the majority of them are spared any further flogging on international duty next week.

PSV fans were great but their team were absolutely pathetic, almost on a par with Cardiff for their negativity, no desire to win the game at all.

We got what wr deserved, so did they.

Winks was absolutely superb, I though Eriksen was poor, fullbacks poor, Son poor, Kane wasn't having a great game but did what mattered, thought Dele put a shift in. Sanchez shut down every single counter possible and Gazza was awesome.

With PSV out of the KO stages, they will play against Inter without any pressure so there’s still hope that they may get something from that match. (Fingers crossed).

I don't think think be the case sadly. The Italians are the masters of the dark arts of football. Of tactical fouls, defending and general cheating wankery. I foresee a very frustrating goalless match unless we find another gear to slip into.

First thing we need to do is to beat Inter by at least two clear goals. Then we can think about barca.

Phew. Eventually the siege on their goal brought results.

Our slim chance of qualification kept alive. They haven't unplugged the life support yet.[/QUOTE

I would add Gaz to that lot. Good again, gaining confidence too.

Perspective. 3 wins in 6 days. Yes it was frustrating today but we dominated and kept plugging away to grind out a win. We come away disappointed with another win in the CL. How times have changed.

i don't disagree with you at all. the point i may not have made very skillfully is that there are teams we play where putting your most talented 11 can have a leveraged impact on the overall game. sometimes its important to fit the system to the players and not vice versa. if we had a holding midfielder this year who was playing strong consistently, the value of such an approach would be limited. as of now, our holding midfielders are not playing as well as in years past and there may be times where putting a faster, skillful team up and pressing high would pay dividends. especially against opposition with slower forwards and midfielders.
