Not England, but Modric is a true sportsman in defeat. It hurt the croations, but i liked him going to shake hands.
If there's still anyone out there who doesn't think this is a hundred times better than international friendlies I don't understand any more.
As long as Belgium don't lose to Switzerland.Netherlands or France, Belgium and Portugal I think?

It's great. It feels like the world cup again. The down side is that makes me want to get on the beers which isn't great as i spent the whole summer drunk.
Yep, there's not a single match more being played because of this. We've had two international games a month in Sept/Oct/Nov for ages, it's just that beforehand it would have been two friendlies and four qualifiers (likely three of them against rubbish in a non-competitive group) rather than two friendlies and the four Nations League games. And now those qualifiers will take the spaces that would previously have gone to friendlies during 2019.I think most of the criticism was like "what? still more games"? If this can replace the equal number of meaningless friendlies, most will take to it.
I don't normally praise Liverpool players, but I was incredibly impressed with Joe gomez today. Calm and assured defender.
Theres a England starting 11 that should be forming in Southgates head.
Cos he looks like a leprechaun?Gotta remember Lingard is about 5 years older than Rashford, but he does seem to have a lucky charm quality about him.
Maguire is a great option to have as well - especially if we ever utilise a back 3.He's a class act and him and Stones is the England centre back partnership for years to come. Little bit of inexperience from them for the goal today but they'll learn. Intelligent lads and fantastic footballers.
