Anyone just hear the commentator in the Man U game, when advertising tomorrow’s match he just said ‘Tottenham may have slipped in between them but really the title race is shaping up to be quite a battle between Man City and Liverpool’. Word for word.

Usually that sort of stuff doesn’t bother me but I just thought that was really disrespectful.
Shut up you slag it bothers you all the time :D

£555m since Klopp took over. A lot of expensive dross in there. Let’s not glamourise them.
You can ignore what I said and reply to a non-existent comment if you like but it’s probably best to post a stand-alone comment if you are going to do that.

I didn’t discuss all Liverpool’s spending just how they dealt with the proceeds of selling Coutinho. In that instance they bought Keita, VdV and then added cash to get Alison and Fabinho. Even if Fabinho hasn’t set the world alight I wouldn’t call any of that dross and it is in stark contrast to our transfer approach. If we sold Eriksen for a similar sum to Countinho does anyone believe we would buy 2 players for £65m each ? Of course not we would have all kinds of excuses about agent fees, wages and the zodiac. How is our supposed lower risk strategy of buying £10-15m punts who we can sell at a small loss if they don’t work out panning out for us ? Well GKN and Janssen would suggest not very well.

For the record as I’ve said many times before this isn’t a request to splash cash but to take some intelligent risk. If we can’t compete with Liverpool and others in top end transfers than let’s do a Dortmund and try to stock our academy with the best youth available but we don’t even spend money there. We prefer to spend on real estate than playing squad. You can neg rep me in every thread I don’t give a monkeys.

But it is still not a requirement of the game. You can play an entire game of football without having to use a shoulder barge. You cannot play a game of rugby without a scrum - games like that are called 'touch rugby' for a reason. Or American football, where without contact it is called 'touch football'; you cannot have a martial arts contest without striking the other player. Contact is required. Contact is not a requirement of football.

You really must be fun at parties

I love us being written off and under the radar. It’s usually when we are talked up, like before wolves, that we flounder.

He’s going to get them hyped up big time.

Obviously it’s a tight call but I agree. City will win. They have to.

I didn’t realise it was at Man City as well. They have to win. Anything else is flopping, and dare I call it bottling winning the league, big time.

Problem is, we can’t win anything without being talked up at some stage.

Hopefully nobody notices us until it’s too late and we’ve already been crowned champions...

Surely we really want a draw. Least possible points won, and most dropped?

A draw would be good but a Liverpool loss is better, imo.

Need those fuckers feeling what a loss is like. City have lost 3 of their last 5 so they’ve shown they can be beaten (though they’re obviously perfectly capable of going on a mental run too)

Ideally Liverpool get beaten bad and some doubts set in. It’ll more than likely be a very close game, though.

Oh and season ending injuries to Allison, VVD, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Edison, KDB, Aguero, Sterling and Sane would be nice.
