No need to
We have no squad, we’re ravaged by injuries, we’ve lost to all of our top six rivals already with the exception of Chelsea, and we’ve still got to play Liverpool, City and Chelsea away from home.

We only have more and bigger games to come and we don’t have the squad to keep competing. We’ve lost six games already this season which is a hell of a lot at just past the halfway stage, and we already know we won’t be spending any money in January - we’re just losing Dembele and Son. It looks like Kane was in trouble at the end of the game, Sissoko one of our form players could be injured for some time. Our replacement CM option today was an actual child.

We have lots of home games to come and Wembley is a massive liability - one of the reasons we’ve done so well so far is the amount of away games we’ve played.

It will be a massive battle for top 4 now. Massive.
And despite all those issues you rightly point out we're seven points clear. I don't rate Poch's ability to change things in game. But I do rate his ability to make sure we are competitive no matter how depleted our squad or how weak on paper our team. I don't believe we'll give up seven or eight points to both United and Arsenal barring a total injury crisis (e.g. Kane and Sissoko out for the season with no reinforcements)

Any talk of being unlucky is losers talk really. Ultimately it is because of what we have done that has seen us lose the game.

First half we are naïve in the extreme, asking to be done on the counter but neither the players on the pitch or the manager on the touchline have done anything about it. Then we commit a brainfart and basically gift them a goal.

Second half yeah we have huffed and puffed, given it a go and created chances. But apart from the one class save De Gea made from Alderweireld, all the others are ones I'd be expecting a keeper to make, they just look a bit more jazzy because he uses his feet more to make saves. The Alli and Kane one on ones should have been buried, no if's no but's, Rashford tucked his away.......

We have to take responsibility for what we did, or didn't do, and what was within our control. On the balance of play we did deserve something, but ultimately what we did wasn't good enough to get it and that's the mentality that is needed to kick on.

Nobody is moaning that we were unlucky.

We should of converted those guilt edged chances, but we created enough to win handsomely.

We didn't take our chances and got nothing, but we played really well second half.

You don't huff and puff and create that many good chances ffs.

Huff and puff implies we were laboured and struggled to create much.

I think once we'd missed a few bad ones it got in the players minds and they were trying to be too deliberate with their finishing. And just ended up putting tame shots straight at De Gea.

If you gave Kane those chances every match I'd bet on him scoring at least two.

These are the games you have to win and the chances you have to take to win things. And as long as we have these 'blips' people will continue to question our mentality (like it or not)

I don’t think Kane’s finishing has been quite as reliable this season generally.

Honestly it's fucking arrogance to be playing such nonchalant passes in those positions again and again. People are defending it and can't see they've had to defend the same stupid errors 4-5 times this season.
Today, Wolves away, City at home, he does it far too often and he isnt going to suddenly stop doing it. Even if he has a decent game itll happen. Its why we need to pass the baton to Aurier and KWP or bring in someone else if Poch doesn't trust the others.

Davies did well today though and I'd like to see him used at CB more often.

Without sound reactionary, it's games like this that make you realise how many players we actually need in order to go up a level. Don't get me wrong, we have an excellent team, but our midfield and striker really need more depth and we also need to improve our fullbacks. That's 5 new playes which at least two, if not three (cm, lb, RB) need to be of serious quality. Considering how Levy does business this could take years to sort out. That's if we want to win the league.

What about Kane, Son, Sissoko our for six weeks and Dembele being sold?

There will be no reinforcements.

We haven’t had to deal with any of our current problems so far this season and as I said most of our games have been away from home - that’s why we’ve been doing well.

We now have new problems to deal with, big problems.

Serious question

We will not win the league this year and maybe this sound a bit cocky but we won’t finish outside top 4

So should we rotate more in the league and go for it on the cups + CL?

I would. Obviously the league is still important but I wouldn’t be resting the likes of kane and Eriksen in the cup matches from now on

It's not a cop out. You just need to get a grip of your disappointment.

I'm fucking gutted but we played really well after a hectic schedule and Had Harry found the corner a couple of times we'd all be waxing lyrical about this performance.

Unfortunately it's fine lines sometimes.

I feel surprisingly calm. I agree we played well but in my opinion it’s no coincidence we missed so many chances which stops me praising today in any way. It’ll happen again, when repetition is apparent there’s an issue there. Not my job to solve it though.

Pogba challenge looking worse lol redknapp can fuck off that's red
That wound me right up. He's actually trying to defend Pogba. Yeah, that's right Jamie, because players step over the ball by raising their feet above their knees, you smug, verbally-flatulent twat!
