Okay, here’s a no half arsed answer. I think you dislike Daniel levy’s handling of the club. I think you feel that success is not his main motivation, but instead that he wants to grow the value of the club with minimum risk up until it is sold for an ebourmous amount. I think you believe Daniel Levy to be deceitful in his promises to a) not sell our best players and b) invest in the team consistently. I think you feel that it’s not so much that he has failed at various points to improve us, but that he’s deliberately tried to get away with not improving us on several occasions in hope that the manager will keep things going in the right direction regardless, and that Levy has only diverted from this approach when it has come close to disastrous outcomes (2008 for instance). I believe you think he is not doing a good job, but you also don’t think he’s doing a bad job, just that he’s doing a job with different desired outcomes (financial growth), to that which you value (on field success). I think that in your opinion, Levy would welcome on field success but it is not his priority. You'll 'not be told' but are quite happy to do the telling and you aren't taking the high ground. Just because you SAY you aren't taking the high ground doesn't make it so.
As for what my opinion is that's a bigger half arsed answer than what Daniel Levy gives the supporters trust at question time It seems my opinion is a bit of a mystery to you after all. Here, have a ladder. You'll need it to dismount.
I am also more than happy to be wrong on all of this, as I am Jeremy inferring it from years of posting and, without being in your head am very likely to be incorrect. But there you go, this is my non half arsed answer. That is exactly what I believe your opinions to be.
And yes, fine, I put myself on high ground. I do this because I at very least take time and effort to construct arguments which a basis in evidence available to us, rather than in my own personal feelings, and I don’t skew things to suit an agenda. I struggle to respect those who do the opposite, and have far more time for tjrmopinions if posters who vehemently disagree with me but actually take the time and effort to back up their views with anecdote and example (@doctor stefan Freud being a fine example).
