Although he has been our best attacking player, every time I watch Lucas I'm always left thinking he's just not good enough. I'm really, really trying to stop myself from being too critical. I'm just struggling more each game. Hopefully he will come out second half and prove me wrong. I really want to like him

I.Think that's fair enough, recent form has been very below par. (He s hardly alone) But, it's easy to forget he has scored some.cracking goals when.he was playing more frequently. Needs better quality around him to really shine and use his pace and trickery. The current job couldn't find a pass to him if he was alone on the pitch.

Janssen can't get a game but we have to put up with that from Trippier.

Gone about as bad as it could. Two soft as shit goals conceded out of very little to put us right up against it. Then barbecue a glorious chance to at least get back in it.

Do you laugh or cry?

I quibbled about the selection and shape before the match, as of HT it's gone as bad as I feared it would - in very predictable ways. Three centrebacks plus Skipp and Dier are just overkill, Moura and Nkoudou really aren't 'float around behind the striker and get on the ball' players, and it's not KWP's fault but he isn't going to provide touchline hugging width and go on the outside when he's on the left.

Why not use your two actual wingers, I don't know, on the wings maybe? Revolutionary idea. Think we should have gone something like 4-4-2, and that first half has made me think that even more.
I absolutely hate it when we go three at the back. It just doesn't work for us. We saw it against Chelsea and we have seen it again today. Utter confusion and lack of belief.

Knew we’d struggle with that bunch of shit line up.
•Trippier hasn’t been good enough for ages and that penalty was fucking embarrassing.
Sorry but I have 0 faith in Kyle Walker Peters, I’ll hold my hands u if he blossoms in a few years but I just cannot see it, he’s too small to be a full back, he doesn’t have enough pace, his decision making for a 21yr old is awful, not the required level we need AT ALL!
•Skippyyboy is average at best right now and at 18 etc I don’t expect much more but he’s not going to change this game for us, nor is Dier, that midfield duo is so lacking in creativity and drive.
•Nklueless, is exactly that. No wonder he’s been frozen out etc. Sure against Fulham he put a half decent last minute cross in but come on, most professional footballers should be able to do that, his technique is so so bad, that shot he missed was a prime example.
•Lucas is ok but can’t do it on his own, needs good players around him
•Llorente is ok but he doesn’t suit how we play and crosses and diagonal balls will be eaten up by that palace defence.

So dog shit players out there today but Poch surely needs to take a bit of blame for picking such a weak side, could Eriksen/Winks etc really not start or at least put eriksen on the bench?

Also yet another shit first half.

Penalty miss has possibly killed any chance we had in this game.

Big 2nd half needed to just get a draw.
Harsh. He isn't even playing in his best position. You don't need to be tall to be a fullback.

Manager is not blameless. If there are only 3 or 4 players on his list that would make this better than bigger fool him. That’s as bad as I’ve witnessed under him. Going into this season with a brilliant first 11 and no squad was always going to have consequences.

I think you’ll find making no signings is a great idea when you think about it. The BSoDL said so in September.

This half has tipped me over the fucking edge.

Yes we've performed poorly, but the team that Poch has had to put out is a fucking disgrace and is the responsibility of the club. The only criticism of Poch I can have here is that Eriksen is not on the bench.

We knew we were going to have fitness problems with many of our players and we did fuck all in the summer to address that and strengthen the obvious weaknesses. It's coming back to bite us on the arse like most of us predicted it would. What makes it worse is the club is still failing to admit that something needs to change and we'll do fuck all again between now and Thursday.

We can't plug every gap with the academy. We need investment and we need it now if we want to progress on the pitch.
Spot on and it's absolutely infuriating. There can be no fucking excuses for the world's tenth richest club.

Considering our complete reluctance to spend money I’d really like Poch to try KWP rotating with Aurier at right back the rest of the season. We could really do without needing to buy a new right back considering our other needs and maybe you never know he could step up like the Liverpool guy did.

People saying a rb back shouldnt take a penalty, Ramos a CB is madrid's taker, and he scored 8 last season. Its down to Trips, not the position he plays

Trippier probably took the penalty because he's one of the best at them in training. Shocking attempt today though.

What is this "our entire season could be unravelling" bollocks the commentators keep pushing?
