He shouldn't be played on the left at all he is far too right footed it rarely works doing that
You could see that in the first mins he has no left foot and his crosses will be easily snuffed out.

To be honest Llorente is a striker ffs, how is a RB wanting to take a spot kick more than him. I guess he just doesn't have the confidence.

Again though we have Llorente on the pitch and are so reluctant to cross the ball in.
I imagine Trips takes them in training, use to be Burnleys taker. Ramos is cb is madrids (over Benzemas etc), baines a lb was evertons

Only 3 that weren't utter shit before the handball were Skipp, Jan and KWP. That's down to just Jan and Skipp now.

I think that might be the worst half I've seen under Poch and that's not hyperbole.

I don't thnk it's hyperbole to say that that, the first half vs Chelsea and second half vs Wolves are the bottom three of recent years, and they've all been in the past few weeks. I think there were worse back at the start of Poch's first year, but we're nowhere near the standard we were even way back in his second.

Very disappointing half, players need to step up, I don't understand why we've had the ball in wide areas and be reluctant to get the ball into the box. I know it's not the poch way, but we gotta play to llorente strengths.

The squad is a million miles away from being good enough to compete on the level we aspire to. It has been left to languish for far too long.

Inspired decision for CP to leave
Fuck off with this “at least Trippier stepped up” bollocks.

He’s supposedly a dead ball specialist, penalties should be simple for him. He didn’t even work the keeper because he curled the ball well wide of the fucking post.
It was truly dreadful. I honestly don't know what he was thinking placing it like that. It's like he was confused and thought he was taking a free-kick. The height, curl, everything about it was wrong.

Very true llorente should be grabbing that ball the second we got the pen

COYS lets not whimper out this second half...some comical individual errors that half but i suppose thats what happens when you play players who either are out of position or play once a year.

He needs to be in areas where he's going one v one with the opponent - either wide or right up against the line. Floating about dropping deep getting on the ball is not his thing, but for some reason we insist on using him this way.
I.Think that's fair enough, recent form has been very below par. (He s hardly alone) But, it's easy to forget he has scored some.cracking goals when.he was playing more frequently. Needs better quality around him to really shine and use his pace and trickery. The current job couldn't find a pass to him if he was alone on the pitch.
I'm completely agree with both of you. He's certainly much, much better when he's wide right. I just feel like even the basic things he used to do well like beating a man and pressing have stopped. I'm hoping that next season he will really show us what he's capable of.

I’m not sure Jan gets away scott free for either goal. Where was he on the second for example?

The quality drops off drastically when the Fab Four are not playing. We need better quality cover for them.
Which team barring City would continue unaffected withou 4 key players missing? And even they struggled without Fernandinho.

Llorente is a CF.

His job is to hold the ball up, link play and most importantly score goals.

Fucking annoys me that a 6ft4 guy, probably weighing 15 plus odd stone, doesn't stand up and smash that in the back of the net.

This is our 3rd team vs Palace 1st team away from home, why did anyone think we had a chance?

Winks said we don’t practice penalties in training after the Chelsea defeat. I mean wtf kind of coaching is that from the management team?!?!

Perhaps that's why our GKs are so shit at saving them. Lloris and Gazzanigga are great GKs but they never look like saving a penalty.

The first half at Chelsea was dreadful. I didn't think the players could play much worse......let's see what the next 45 brings.

After the Chelsea 1-0 win I was seriously thinking we have a great chance for one of the cups this year. To be heading out of both within 4 days is absolutely demoralising.
