We didn't create any clear cut chances though other than from 2 set pieces, we were wasteful with posession. it was like watching Arsenal on the edge of the box.

It's hard to create against a defensive team with all your best attacking players missing tbh.

How is Gazzanigga a positive? I've liked him in general but he made a major error in midweek, again today should really have kept the first goal out having got a hand to the initial shot, and having looked promising at penalties has had some shocking attempts at saving them. Well below his par so far for us.
And yet the hipsters are calling for him to be our no1 over Hugo lol.

He couldn't even get on the bench for Southampton.

Poch and/or Levy rather we get top 4 than win a cup. This won't change I am afraid.

The money you make from the champions league means we can't afford to miss out, plus with a new stadium coming Levy doesn't want to have no champions league football in that new stadium.

With the fixtures coming up, Poch had to play this team otherwise our top 4 place could be in jeopardy esp with Man Utd resurgence.
Well if top 4 is really prioritised why haven't we spent fuck all in the window, seems a pretty good idea if we want to remain in top 4 tbh. Fucking hell.

Llorente is really finished at this level of the game. If our first choice attackers are unavailable, then I’d rather use a player from the youth squads. At least they should gain some experience at a higher level and most definitely, be pacier than llorente.

We’re fucked without top 4. Fucked.

The club won’t fold without CL, without Eriksen, Toby, or Poch.

It just goes backwards.

So depends on your definition of fucked tbh. Levy won’t be happy of course having a new stadium with no decent players and no Poch in it.

Said after the United game that it felt like we were at a crossroads. We've now lost 3 of the last 4 and had to rely on a last minute winner to beat a poor Fulham team.

We will be in a real dogfight with Chelsea, United and Arsenal to finish top 4.

The lack of depth is seriously poor. Even Palace had a stronger bench than us today - and we started Skipp, KWP, GKN & Foyth.

Need (proper!) reinforcements immediately.

And please, no more talk of "the project" - it's about winning things. Nothing else matters. Nothing else gets remembered in the long run. Glory Days = Silverware.

Great post, can't rate it highly enough.

That's not true though. We absolutely can improve our first 11 without spending a fortune. Torreira for Arsenal was not a relatively expensive signing and he would have definitely improved us.
I don't disagree. You have to be decisive in those decisions and transfers to get those players. Unfortunately, this current transfer market has passed Daniel Levy by and he is just not equipped to be successful. We would be playing games until deadline day and throw in a late low ball bid. Arsenal got Torreira done early and paid a fair price.

Here is the deal though, go out and buy 2-3 "squad" players that aren't going to improve us immensely. We just used our transfer kitty and than next transfer window we'll here "can't bring anyone in until we move some out". Well, we never move them out because Daniel Levy is impossible to work with and we just end up stuck never bringing any in or out.

Any player we bring in going forward needs to be first team starter quality. Those are expensive players but its the only way we are going to advance this "project" at the current moment.
Disagree mate. Someone like Grealish that we had the chance to buy for 25m but in the end screwed up because Levy wanted to fuck about for 5m is someone that definitely would add a lot of quality to our second string and rotation players. Similar role to Barkley/RLC and the likes.

3 key passes and put one on a plate for GKN...but he missed a penalty, so is shite and worse than KWP who basically gave Palace a goal.
KWP was playing at left back and is young and learning, but has performed well overall whenever he's been given a rare chance. Not so long ago he had three assists in one game, unlike Trippier's assists for the opposition by trying fucking nutmegs on the edge of our box.

Trippier has been awful for months and in no way justifies his place in the team. He cannot defend properly. Bit of a problem.

I bleed Tottenham and hate us losing even friendlies, but Poch made the right call today, with the way our squad is depleted what do we expect him. to do, prioritise the cup at this early stage or top 4?we are 7pts clear and with a great chance of getting CL football again which is vital moving into our new stadium both financially and prestigious with the naming rights of our new stadium and not to mention keeping the likes of Eriksen.
Yes i would love a cup run, but not at the expense of Top 4,and that's why Poch had no choice.

As a fan I was upset at losing to Chelsea on Thursday, disappointed in losing previous semis to them and United, but losing to Palace makes me livid.
I was actually the opposite - really gutted to go out in a semi-final, but oddly calm about losing today. Perhaps we were so comically bad today, that it took the sting out.

Where was his bad defensive mistake today that cost us, seeing as you're taking the time to criticise?
