Love how when Poch decides to speak positively about the project and staying long term it gets ignored for the negativity with regards to incoming transfers.

Poch: 'I'll stick with Spurs until the end'

It's a shame thousands of season ticket holders are not sticking with Spurs, lets see what the attendance is tomorrow against Watford.

Poch: "I believe in this project"
Fandom: "OMG He's leaving us!"
Poch: "It is important I make the best decision for the club in today and in the future"
Fandom: "Can't believe he said. He's just going to leave us!"
Poch: "I'll stick with Spurs until the end."
Fandom: "Just fucking go already god! It's clear you don't want to be here"

Good grief the state of a lot these days.

Just read the whole press conference. Seriously, the football gods were smiling on Spurs the day that man put pen to paper with us.

Such a good fella and the project talk is always brilliant. We are very Arsenal under Wenger (the end) with a manager fighting the done thing and not wanting big signings, focusing on youth instead, with loyalty. I do wonder if Poch is the ultimate nice guy shouldering the blame in the market, as Wenger did for years, then it came out in a matter of months under Emery that they had no money.

A quote which, curiously enough, didn’t make it into Sky Sports extensive write up of the press conference.

I can’t wait until they give the Man U job to someone else or he turns it down and they start writing he’s got no ambition. That will be a red rag to a bull with us the beneficiaries.

If you read Poch's press conference, he can't be any clearer about his intent and the club's intent. They are playing a long term game and willing to sacrifice short term results to do so. The fact that he compares Spurs to Real Madrid, rightly or wrongly, shows a clear vision that they are intent on creating a global powerhouse and not a perennial bobber in the EPL. LOL. In reading through it a second time, it sounds like he has been reading SC and responding directly to some of the expressed angst. You can argue about the club and his strategy (which sound as if they are in lockstep) but his commitment is very clear.

All about being patient.

We’ll get into that shiny new stadium that no longer looks like a toilet from the top and coupled with our training ground players will be like fuck yeah we wanna go there and win stuff!

After reading his book, it made me realise that he's a 1 in a million type manager. His two kids are lucky to have such an amazing father to look up to.

I won’t paste the whole thing because it’s a lot of quotes from him. But it is essential reading. All of it.

I believe this post from @TheVoiceofReason sums up perfectly how this article makes me feel...

Me and Poch, three bottles of Malbec, game of pictionary, anal sex.

He said something interesting on transfers that a few days ago he thought we would do business but now he highly doubts it. I’m intrigued what transfer fell through.

Take your pick, but I'd suggest the young winger at Leeds might have been in the running, they confirmed today (always open to change I know) that he would be staying at Leeds until the end of the season in their push for promotion. Can't see it being anyone other than him unless it's top top drawer type of transfer (I just made myself laugh)
